I pray for a fair and just verdict. My support and thoughts go out to the Zimmerman family and the defense team as we wait.

They asked for clarification of the manslaughter instruction, without being specific about what needed clarifying. The court said it couldn’t engage in general discussions but might be able to answer a specific question.

BTW, the manslaughter *instruction* includes language about self defense. For all we know that could be what they are asking about.

"If someone pulls a gun on you the correct action is usually to run. Especially if you are not armed."

Of course, and according to Judge Alex (and others) GZ pulls his gun, TM jumps him beats him senseless, GZ tolerates this all the while screaming help, THEN shoots.

Un-Fn-believable......

“I can top that, if he intended on killing Trayvon and not getting caught the second he shot him he would have bolted, he wouldnt have stayed there and waited for the cops to arrive..Also, the cops tried tricking him by saying that someone had gotten the entire confrontation on video and Zimmerman responded “Thank God” doesn’t sound like someone who had something to hide”

Umm... other than the fact that GZ had already called the Cops about Lil’ Treyvon canvasing the neighborhood. I kind of doubt the Cops couldn't have tracked him down upon finding a plugged Treyvon.

I don’t know. Those are the recommended instructions published every 6 months to 1 year by the Florida Supreme Court. Lower courts tend to follow them pretty closely. The Prosecution and Defense each review the proposed instructions and argue for additions or exclusions. Both parties must agree and the Court has discretion over the argued parts.

Not having the stats in front of me, I would have to say that it were “Republican” men who did not come out to vote by the millions.

The only way they could justify doing that is by rejecting self-defense.

And to reject self-defense, they have to reject the fact that the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove Z did not act in self defense, not on Z to prove he did.

"That’s the thing. I don’t see how they can find him not guilty on one charge and guilty on the other. If it is self-defense, then he can’t be guilty of either charge and that it the only defense he has."

Hypothetically speaking, they could find it wasn't proper self defense but that Z didn't have the "depraved mind" necessary for murder 2.

"Can the jury ask whats the max for manslaughter"

They can ask. They wouldn't get the answer.
