Fox & Friends: When Sam Adams Can't Mention God In 4th Of July Beer Ad, 'The Terrorists Have Won'

The morning after Independence Day, Fox & Friends' fill-in hosts examined a 4th of July beer had that apparently has drawn the ire of some God-loving American conservatives. The commercial, played in its entirely on Fox, shows a bartender quoting the Declaration of Independence while pouring a Sam Adams. The problem? He neglects to mention that Americans' "unalienable rights" were "endowed by their creator."

As host Clayton Morris explained, Sam Adams was simply obeying the the Beer Institute's guidelines on not using religion in commercials ...

Jesse Watters wasn't quite so understanding. "When political correctness takes over the beer advertising industry, the terrorists have won," he declared ...

I’d say it would have been better to skip it altogether than to expurgate a reference to God from it. Still, it’s served to get people talking... people still care about God at some level. Now if they will give God credit for full-on, mighty gospel power, then we might start going somewhere good as a nation again.

I beg to differ. On the WWII Memorial the word "God" has been omitted from one of Roosevelt's Speeches quoted there. In the courts of the People's Republic of Maryland, the phrase "So help me God" has been dropped from the Oath taken by witnesses. As I 'm sure you know, prayer and even the mere mention of God have been outlawed in our Public Schools Childhood Indoctrination Centers, eliminated from from our workplaces, and purged from virtually all public discourse.

Words matter, as the Quislings infesting our government well know. It is no accident that they have purged such phrases as "Islamic Terrorism" from the lexicons of the Pentagon and Faggy Bottom.

It is not minor. It is one of a worsening series of events undercutting our First Amendment Freedoms in the name of political correctness.

The patriot Samuel Adams signed the Declaration of Independence including the the words "endowed by their Creator," "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," and "with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence." I daresay he and the other 55 Signers are spinning in their graves.

“Forward”... It’s just another deliberate incremental slip towards a Godless society, pure and simple, and not an innocent omission. It IS a big deal. Yes, on some level it has created discussion, but discussion with no action to roll back this insidious form of culture creep is meaningless in the end.

Really, you are concerned about anyone who would "be screaming" about quoting the Declaration of Independence? Do people really quiver uncontrollably at the thought of someone - anyone - being offended?

Should we now avoid teaching our children about the Declaration of Independence? Should we no longer recite the Pledge of Allegiance? Where do you propose it stop? And what if these omissions offend me? Is it okay to offend only certain people without concern? Is that now legitimate?

The truth is that our right originate from our Creator. They are not man-made. They are not devised by a government. They are derived from our Creator, just as the DOI points out. If that offends some, then perhaps they need offending to wake them back to reality.

as someone pointed out earlier this company sponsors public sex competitions while censoring Gos from founding documents. They can rot in hell. None of the drinkers I know drink the swill anyway. If the Declaration offends these perverts they shouldnt be quoting from it in the fiirst place.

I find it odd that you start a new thread on the subject, referencing two other previously established threads on the same subject that you didn't bother to participate in. Why is that?

When I found the Mediaite article, I did a search on "Adams" to see if it had already been posted. It hadn't, but I did find the two vanity threads. Along with posting this article, I linked those threads in case anyone who hadn't seen them, might want to view them and comment on them.

I disagree.

Americans "unalienable rights ... endowed by their creator" is a very big deal.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Samuel Admas would have thought it important as well.
