Well considering the Republican party no longer exists, I say go for it. We have a RINO party, but a Republican party? Please. She would be leaving the Democrat-lite party, no skin off her nose.

Interesting discussion here. Let’s see if we can kill the immigration bill first, then on to step two. If that bill gets through the House in any way fashion or form, it won’t matter if we have ten other parties, we’ll always be a minority in a third world country.

Jim ... want to say something profound but the words fail me. It may take Sarah leaving though to finally be able to tell the truth about both side of the aisle. Sarah does have a habit of telling the truth though there have been some areas Sarah has not gone because she does belong to the Republican Party. Maybe leaving is the only way to shake the system to its core and the system does need shaking to the core.

My God, the woman has been on fire as of late. She’s back and charged up and even if Roger can barely bring himself to put her on air, she’s going to make the most of it—while of course also getting paid by Fox.

The Republicans are the moderate wing of the Democratic Party, and Fox News is the mouthpiece of the GOP elite. I don't think they will keep Sarah around if she breaks off and helps form a new party. They'll either try and force her to stay in the GOP, or they'll relegate her to a crappy timeslot.

Well, I left the Democrat party many years ago, because they went way too far left (Johnson) for me. And, now, I'll do the same, as the Republican party, the party of less left progressives than the democrat party, is leaving me.

"Freedom Party" sounds good to me!

A lot of us have. I am conservative, and a patriot, not a Republican. Republican is just where we used to hang out till they made us unwelcome.

If the GOP wants to become Dem-Lite I have no problem leaving the GOP. I stick by my principles first..and for those who say “A third party means that the Dems will win” well voting for the GOP if they want to become a mirror image of the Dem party, whats the point..Id rather vote for a party that agrees with MY beliefs instead of one who wants to out-Commie the left M

My response to the idiots who claim a vote for anybody but the GOP is a vote for the Dems, is that a liberal with an (R) next to their name is still a liberal, and if I wanted to vote for a liberal, I'd join the party of jackasses and not worry about it.

I want to see just how far from the Go-Pees it will be.

Because it needs to be a l o o o o o n g way away.

And the terminology “Freedom” had better mean just that, real freedom.

Not the pseudo-freedom of probably no one in the fed-gov will bother you much crap.

We could start with a bit of cost savings that would have the added bonus effect of defunding the ability of employees of the following agencies to have their noses in American Citizens business 24-7.

How about some “across the board” EPA cuts?

Perhaps some “across the board” TSA cuts?

“Across the board” EEOC cuts?

“Across the board” BATFEces cuts?

“Across the board” Department of Agriculture cuts?

Department of Education?

Department of Health and Human Services?

Department of Housing and Urban Development?

Department of Labor?

African Development Foundation?

Federal Reserve System?

National Railroad Passenger Corporation?

Then we could go flat tax and eliminate THAT problem quite easily.

NSA? A bit trickier but if the above were carried out with swift and resolute action the paycheck hos in NSA would be much easer to work with.

There would be MUCH more but I would like to see some real platform items, not some rehashed crap.

With Governor Palin at the top of the leadership chain I would be confident that I will see blood and fir flying in the air.

I’m wont vote for liberals no matter if the have a R or a D behind their names. I’ll only vote for Conservatives and if they only run Conservatives they would have my vote..

With the utter contempt that much of the Republican party elites have shown the base in the past year, I think the time for a new party has come.

It might be the time to fight them from the outside, as you are suggesting ... we are not winning by being in the republican party. Sarah could take this nationwide and nationwide is where we would have to go. I’m in! Time to enter the Freedom Party.

I am a Conservative and was a republican, who lives in southern Arizona. After being betrayed by the likes of republicans that I just recently voted for - Brewer/Orr/McCain/Flake, I decided “No More” and changed my registration. In Arizona, the only choice was Independent, which really is unsatisfactory; but I did it anyway.

Now if Freedom Party becomes an alternative, I shall ride with Sarah.

The GOP was founded as a third party about seven years before the Civil War. How much worse does it have to get before a third party flies? They’ve tried unsuccessfully so many times.

How many people would in fact leave the Republican party? We already have a lot of splinter parties; i.e. the Greens, Libertarians, Constitutional Party, Natural Law party etc. etc. Would we become yet another splinter party?

If you are a Conservative, then you are already a part of a splinter group that the GOP ignores.

You can either stand beside people who share your beliefs and your principles, or you can stick with a GOP that despises people like you and me. It's your choice, but if you vote for a liberal with an (R) next to their name, you are still voting for a liberal who is going to sell this country out.

Have no present intention to leave, but I will take an oath before Almighty God never to vote for anyone who accepts the gang of eight immigration policy, in any semblance of its present form, for any office.

I do not understand how anyone can see it as anything other than an effort to give away America.

Frankly; the platform of the Constitution Party lines right up with my ideology...a third party modeled closely after that platform with Governor Palin’s involvement could reel me right in. :-)

we are not winning by being in the republican party

Well there would be if there was enough of us.

Sarah could take this nationwide and nationwide is where we would have to go.

Then there certainly would not be enough of us....for YEARS!
