I thought that is what we have been doing the last eight years.
The only way we become irrelevant is if the second amendment is repealed, all guns are confiscated and we lose the option to hit the reset button.

The other problem is even if a majority of Repubs, non-voting conservatives and independents switch to a truly conservative party, the remaining “moderate” , RINO, and liberal Republicans will steal off enough of the vote to give the Dems a win every time.

Marketing. This is going to be hard work. That's our biggest problem. The system has worked pretty well for us for a very long time with a minimum of effort. We think, "Everything will be OK, with or without my effort, because it always has before."

But no longer is that true. The machine is seriously broken, and we have to fix it. We do that by building coalitions with people who may not be like us in every respect, but who can be shown, with enough thought and effort, that our product is better for them and their interests than what the dems are selling.

Besides, there's no such thing as an unsolvable problem. If we give it our absolute best shot and it doesn't work out right away, God is still in control and has His reasons for delaying our discovery of the solution. But if God helps us, there is no puzzle we cannot solve. Either way, it's all good, and we should proceed in confidence that GOOD WILL ULTIMATELY PREVAIL.

“You just know Boehner will try his best to push something through that can be dismantled in conference, then weep and act surprised”

Weepy has already stated there will be a different Republican House Bill, and yes it will get destroyed in conference, 1,000 of pages, with land mines all through it. But it will pick off enough Dumblicans so that Weepy can say the Hastert Rule is not in effect.

Personally if any Bill goes to a vote I would want a clause that if any portion of it is found Unconstitutional, it null and voids the entire Bill. The RATs are going to suck the Dumblicans in, only to file suit once the Bill is signed....”equal protection" this, blah blah blah that, in order to get the Law Breakers Bennies and voting rights ASAP.

And I DEFY any of the lesser evil crowd to refute it.

Levin ( and Bennett for that matter, but he won't go for this, he is too busy playing patty-cake with Kristol) has been saying we need to go on the Offensive...

The E-GOP and DNC may have up to 30 million voters in a heart-beat that not personally but entomologically can't stand them ( because of their ideas), and will go forward with courage to defeat them in the arena of ideas.

Both parties who have been playing us with this 2 card monte game. They now will forever be on defense until the "Freedom" party becomes and equal.

It is deviously brilliant, and I love it !!!

“I believe there are more (D) conservatives than we can imagine out there wishing for new options. Here in Utah they are Democrats mainly because of a misconception that Mormons are Republicans.”

Exactly, Binger. Aside from the vocal (import) parasite mob of leftist D’s in Salt Lake City proper, you are on spot about resident democrats in Utah, in my experience here, too.

Time was, our differences were minor. The progressives left the thoughtful part of the D party as the GOPe left us.

We’re now a divided society, with a one party system.

We want our republic back.

Um.

No offense, but you might want to wait, to see if Ms. Palin and Mr. Cruz actually switch to the Freedom Party first.

I know. But just saying.

:D

I already left over Romney. Took Palin long enough. I find it amusing that those of us who didn’t roll over or left the GOP were called traitors and liberals and told that a 3rd party would never float. Many of these same ones are now supporting the idea if Palin is on board.

Amen Norm ... explains why they are afraid of Sarah and the People. These people in both parties know if the People “ROAR” as you said, all the games are over for them playing on the People.

Many of us have this backwaeds. “we” do not need the GOP. The GOP needs us. And you play hardball.

I so believe that! We may not have the numbers in the beginning that we might like, but we SURE have the numbers to knock the current GOP on their butts and take them out, and that is where we must start. I believe our numbers would grow even more just from doing that, and I think we will be pleasantly surprised to see just how our numbers stack up against those who are controlling the GOP right now. I do believe we outnumber them by more than many people think.

When you hear/see the GOP/Lesser evil crowd come on or even create threads like this one spouting the same old crap that we just ‘can’t’ do without the GOP and HAVE to elect their libs, ask them what the point is of discussing a third party or even complaining about the GOP at all if they are just going to keep voting for them regardless of what they do anyway. And MAKE THEM give you an answer.

The Founders put their lives and families on the line to fight an actual shooting war. And we can’t even force ourselves to vote on principle? The very principles they established?

I think we can and to hell with the naysayers.

“For all the bitching we do, there are still Reagan Dems alive out there. They just have no voice. There are also younger Dems not DU moonbat, but the albatross will NEVER EVER allow them to vote that way.

“Look at the Paulites. Some of them actually ARE conservative in many ways. But they too will NEVER vote GOP. Because the GOP and it’s no principle BS will roll on them and they know it.

“They may never campaign for Palin, but they would vote for her a hell of a lot faster than the next Romney. BECAUSE they share many of OUR beliefs.

Yes sir, this Paulite is “in many ways conservative” and I’m not a Sara Palin fan. I’m a registered Republican but could not vote for Romney or McInsane. So YES I would vote for the Freedom Party candidate(s) before any of the GOP candidates. Absolutely. Obviously I wouid like the new party to be much more libertarian, but any movement toward small and less intrusive government would be so welcome I would vote for Palin herself. In a heartbeat.

I’ve been in utter despair since the last election, when I realized the majority of voters are now liberal.

I had previously disapproved of 3rd parties since they just split the majority party vote, but if the Republican Party is going to lose anyway in the foreseeable future—and if 11 to 30 million illegals get citizenship it certainly will—then I might as well leave for a third party where I can vote for the candidate I really want.
