I can’t imagine my own life if I were as misguided as she. She has amassed great wealth but her soul is completely bankrupt.
Latae sententiae is the correct term, but it amounts to the same thing. She has for all intents and purposes excommunicated herself.
For that reason, she probably should be publicly excommunicated, for her own sake (a last step to wake her up to her terrible position, poised over the pit of Hell) as well as for the sake of others who are misled by her.
Sadly the Bishop simply sends her a letter, and the only way it becomes public is if she says something.
But excommunication is a painful and difficult business.
If it wasn't there would be no reason to repent.
So easily refuted...
"moral standard" - defined by what? The self? "you will be as gods, knowing good and evil".
"respect women's judgment and values to do that" - again, the Humanism shows through. Each person's "values" will differ, and therefore cannot be looked at as a "standard". The heart is deceitful and corrupt above all things.
Seriously, Catholics, does this viewpoint line up with Catholic teaching? That every person is capable of defining their own moral standard? It certainly is in diametric opposition to the teaching of scripture.
I listened to her whole “sacred ground” spiel,
and I was able to pick up the root of her emotional viewpoint.
As a mother of 5 children, the oldest of whom was 6 years old when I brought home the youngest. “
She felt put upon to have that many young children all at once, and to being pregnant and uncomfortable for 6 years.
She wished she could have somehow not have had to experience that, and that is why abortion is “sacred ground” to her.
Wonder if they're aware of that ... Should make for interesting family gatherings.
"Son ... did you know that Granny wishes she could have aborted me? She says she loves you, but she really wishes I was dead and you didn't exist ..."
NO!!!
I’ve talked with a few Catholic women with the same viewpoint - that the Church was oppressive to women about childbearing, and intentionally so.
Their viewpoint was that the Church’s policy on birth control wasn’t about receiving the full blessings of God, but about controlling women. That’s a lie straight from Hell.
Indeed, I’ve found that the most irrational, vehement, and implacable pro-aborts are “had-aborts” trying to justify their decision with a wall of “this is what I believe”.
The Nazis rationalized in just this way.
Because her bishop has no balls. Part of the consecration rite of a bishop is to remove the spine and the balls. Very few have slipped by this.
Yes... it is called excommunication latæ sententiæ. This is incurred as soon as the offence is committed and by reason of the offence itself (eo ipso) without intervention of any ecclesiastical judge; it is recognized in the terms used by the legislator, for instance: "the culprit will be excommunicated at once, by the fact itself [statim, ipso facto]".
Seriously, Catholics, does this viewpoint line up with Catholic teaching?

Absolutely not! Ms. Pelosi seems not to know much Catholic Teaching at all and has demonstrated this on numerous occasions.
The philosophy that she’s stating is clear and unadulterated Humanism.
And we know where Humanism got started!
(”you will be as gods, knowing good and evil”)
LOL! Given the insane gibberish that woman spouts, the Bible must of had a brick in it!
Thanks TM. pbear8 also answered this question for me. See posts #20 & #32.
I come away from this with the sense that Pelosi is an extremely confused individual with a terribly tormented soul.
I don’t have a clue what the root of her confusion is beyond Satan himself but she appears unable to even consider doing anything about it. It’s as if she has no free will at all.
She’s a “confused soul” by choice. Her own “Free Will” is why she is disobedient to “sound doctrine”. She was told not to eat of the apple and she has anyway. Souls like her are hell-bound.
Do you believe it’s possible for her to be possessed? If so, does a person possessed retain free will? I ask these questions as a Protestant, I’m limited in my knowledge of the Catholic faith.
Being “Possessed”, from a Catholic understanding, is having a demonic spirit ever present ready to overwhelm the host. Diabolical Possession is somewhat rare. Because of Pelosi’s “obstinate” stand for immoral things...i.e. abortion, same sex marriage..euthanasia...even infanticide..makes her a great candidate for what is called OBSESSION.
This is a lot more common than reported. I suppose it’s Satan’s best deception. Why “possess” a body that can be easily identified and exorcised when you can “OBSESS” a body and walk among the public unnoticed and causing greater harm. On that, I would think that she IS obsessed with an evil spirit. BAAL or one of his minions.
