New York Democrats Want to Ban Police From Describing Suspects By Race, Sex, or Age

New York Dems want to pass a bill that would limit a description of a suspect to identify suspects essentially by the clothes they wear only. Truly mind-numbing stupidity.

NYPost reports the following:

Cops might as well wear blindfolds if the City Council passes a bill that would let them use little more than the color of a suspect’s clothing in descriptions — or risk being sued for profiling, according to this provocative new ad (pictured) from the NYPD captains union.

The ad asks, “How effective is a police officer with a blindfold on?”

And the answer is not very, says the NYPD Captains Endowment Association, which is fighting the measure, claiming it would handcuff cops and send crime rates soaring.

Union President Roy Richter — who is seen in the ad wearing a blindfold in Times Square — told The Post the bill is dangerous because “it will ban cops from identifying a suspect’s age, gender, color or disability.

“When we have wanted suspects and patterns of crimes, those are very important descriptive terms to let officers know who to look for.”

The ad warns that if cops transmit a description of a suspect that goes beyond the color of his or her clothing, they could be sued for racial profiling if the proposal becomes law.

The ad will appear in tomorrow’s Post, in addition to the union’s Web site, Twitter and Facebook — and provides links to contacts for City Council members to sway their vote on the measure.

The bill’s sponsor, Jumaane Williams (D-Brooklyn), and Speaker Christine Quinn are

Yes, I do really care. These are people. They have loved ones and families. What is happening to them is evil.

I’m not Venezuelan either, but I care about the evil that is happening to those people.

I’m not Iranian, but I care about the evil happening in Iran.

Compassion is not weakness, despising evil is not a waste of effort, and my fellow man is endowed with certain inalienable rights.

Officer I understand that it would be improper to identify the race, gender or age of the suspect but I can describe what he was wearing.

The suspect was wearing plaid boxer shorts. I knew that because the suspect's pants were riding below the cheeks of the suspect's ass. The suspect was wearing 200 dollar Jordans. The suspect had three tear drop tattoos descending from his left eye. The suspect had jailhouse tattoos on his fingers with a letter on each finger spelling a name that I was unfamiliar with. The suspect was wearing some kind of bright shiny metal orthodontia in his mouth. The suspect was wearing a baseball hat with a price tag on it.

They don't REALLY, get how insane it is. If they did, they would vote these people out of office.

Well wait a minute here, what about your state?

Should we consider burning down Missouri since many in your major cities are clearly leftist perverted deviates?

Why didn't you not vote these people out of office?

What's up with that Mr. Boethius?

I honestly hate that it has come to this, but I’m afraid some of these States in our Union will have to burn to the ground

“Suspect is a human being wearing a red hoodie.”

Human?!?!?! That’s speciest. The description should simply be “life form.”

It’s the government at every level and those in it pushing all this government insanity...Not your private sector neighbors or those in the next state. Ya think the good people in NY don’t think this is just more government lunacy?

If government workers were ever polled, I bet you'd find they were 90% democrats. Your typical front line bureaucrat is one who could not make it in the private sector.

First, I didn't say that WE should burn New York to the ground, just that there would have to be places that DO burn to the ground before people wake up. St. Louis is one of those places.

St. Louis obviously is not proposing anything as insane as not allow a suspects description to be added to a BOLO, but they probably aren't too far behind in their stupidity.

I don't live in St. Louis, I live in Springfield. The people who live in St. Louis don't get it. If they understood the stupidity, they would vote those people out of office.

St. Louis will be one of the cities that burns itself down.

I don’t care what they are, as government has become the big problem in America.

Government and those in it are nearly the cause of all issues threatening our freedoms and decline, morally, economically and from a national security standpoint

It’s sad. I don’t see any of the big cities getting out of it, and States that follow their big city leads will go right down with them. My parents live in a small, conservative town in southern Illinois, but Chicago is dragging the whole State down. I’m begging them to move either to Southwest Missouri or back to Texas where we lived in the 70s, but they don’t see the danger yet.

I’m hoping they see it before it’s too late.

It's not a matter of states following big city leads...Cities are where the corrupt seats of government are..Where the big bucks are...the government Unions, government insiders, the wealthy well connected, etc...

Government...Government....Government...

In fact it's government who winked and nodded and aided and abetted as tens of millions entered illegally...Compromising and undermining our history and electoral process.

See the big pic?

Do you not see the big picture?

Until the voters in those places wake up and remove that government, it will continue to degrade.

Government is in power because the people put it in power. If the people won’t change their government, the government won’t change.

People in those big cities can’t see what is happening to them. If they could see it, they would change their government. But they aren’t.

Ergo, thousands and thousands and thousands of people will have to literally die before others who live there figure it out. The cities will have to burn before change comes.

Isn't it offensive to label them "Suspects"?

You still don't get it...For years the government dumped tens of millions of illegals, Muslims etc, into the country...For years now, your electoral process has been totally undermined and compromised...Divide the united...It changed history sonny.

And you blame ma and pa in St. Louis?

It's like biggov flooding the country with hundreds of billions in counterfeit currency....Oh wait..

Anyone home??

BTW, in places like CA they tried to stop it...They voted for and passed prop 187 overwhelmingly way back in 1994..

Then the feds, working in concert with their state government co-conspirators burned the ballots and declared the free election illegal....

The results of that can now been seen from Las Vegas to North Carolina and in your back yard!

THE VOTERS are the ones who keep re-electing the politicians.

If THE VOTERS won’t vote for other people, then THE VOTERS will suffer the consequences.

There is NO GOVERNMENT without THE VOTERS.
