Jeb Bush: U.S. economy needs immigrants because they’re ‘more fertile’
Washington Post ^ | June 14, 2013 | Aaron Blake

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush (R) argued Wednesday that the United States should pass immigration reform because the U.S. economy needs the labor of young immigrants, and immigrants are “more fertile.”

“Immigrants create far more businesses than native-born Americans,” Bush said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to the Majority conference. “Immigrants are more fertile, and they love families, and they have more intact families, and they bring a younger population. Immigrants create an engine of economic prosperity.”

Bush said immigrants are an advantage that the United States has over China, Europe and Japan, which don’t have the same immigrant tradition and are struggling to find young laborers.

“If we don’t do it, we will be in decline, because the productivity of this country is dependent upon young people that are equipped to be able to work hard,” Bush said.

Bush, whose wife is a Mexican-born immigrant, has long been an advocate for comprehensive immigration reform.

“The birth rate for U.S.-born women decreased 6% during these years, but the birth rate for foreign-born women plunged 14%—more than it had declined over the entire 1990-2007 period. The birth rate for Mexican immigrant women fell even more, by 23%.”

Isn’t that interesting. All the stories we’re getting in the MSM by the racists is that whites are doomed.

I dont know what Bush's point is, but I know the future belongs to the people who are not aborted by birth control. I pray that my Christian, liberty minded children can find Christian, liberty minded spouses who love the blessings of posterity. I could not care less what race or nationality they are.

Revelation 7:9
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

I want to like Jeb Bush. I believe he understands "family values." He strikes me as a decent person, though I wish he had done more to prevent the unspeakable, unthinkable travesty of the courts ordering that Terri Schiavo be starved to death.

In his argument on immigrant fertility, as quoted above, he seems to argue that everything good about immigrants is exactly everything that has been bred out of the American people over the past 50 years by social engineering. To propose to reinvigorate the population while ignoring the cause of the injury seems to be a plan to transfuse blood into a patient with a cut throat.

“Hey Jebby. You want to be President? Do it without my vote.”

My sentiments exactly. I have been answering all of the GOP fundraising letters and e-mails I get with the reply “Go beg for money from the 50 million illegal aliens you are about to give amnesty”.

Maybe someone already answered this. His name is John Ellis Bush. Isn’t that cute...they took the first letters of his names and it spelled another name - Jeb - and voila.

But my fav is Mom Barbara calling him Jebby.

Adorable (not).

Oh, and my comment on why use Jeb instead of John - it was his momma that came up with it, you have to believe it was, rather than Jeb himself deciding John was too common. My understanding is he was called what momma called him, from the beginning, not a decision he made later.

If anyone knows differently, feel free to weigh in.

You are mistaken about TC’s eligibility. It’s nice I don’t have to debate it with you because the issue will be dealt with by others that are quite well qualified to address it. But the fact you state - born in Canada therefore ineligible - just shows what you think you know about eligibility is very limited and not correct if your exact wording is all you have to go on.

To recap: “born in Canada therefore ineligible”, isn’t a correct statement.

You can either choose to research this issue from a variety of sources and do some deeper study after the proper research, or you can just go on putting out your incorrect statement.

does it really matter, if Hillary runs she wins. Maybe its better if she takes the last of the Bush’s down when she wins.

What the poster wrote about reason for being inelible for the presidency just isn’t true. So it wasn’t “your bad” for considering Cruz. Flat out, her statement just is false. That if you are born in Canada, that fact alone makes you ineligible. Now there are claims made on the internet to that affect. But just because someone claims something and it maybe sounds right, doesn’t make it so. Happens all the time.

>>...If what we are is all about the money...<<

Right? It’s not about the money. It’s about our culture, way of life and standard of life. It’s about freedom, liberty and resisting those who seek to lord over us.

Here’s my prediction. Rand Paul will run in primary and not get on the ticket (Cruz not eligible) so, no conservative on the repub ticket. Can’t have those radicals who believe in the constitution on the ticket.
Shillary will win after country and media ignores her record.

We will be here again in 2017 talking about a third party after not being recognized by the dem lite party.

Well, here’s an idea let’s get on the third party now and save ourselves anout Lucy hold the football experience while the country goes down the chi—er for another 4 years.

What good is a republican majority in congress when they are just voting with democrats.

After the amnesty passes, maybe more will be ready to jump ship.

My wallet is open and ready, but I my age, I don’t have the energy for doing anything but e-mails and writing checks.

That's because we pay them to have kids, expecting WIC, Food Stamps, and free education (with affirmative action) and health care. We refrain from having more because of the cost of raising them to be productive citizens.

We get what we subsidize.

“Just because Caucasians are not reproducing at the same rate doesn’t mean squat WRT their fertility, it just means they aren’t interested in reproducing at a higher rate.”

Does fertility care why you aren’t choosing to have children?

Hey JebbieBoy, let me give you some real life experience that I lived every day when owning a company in Pico Rivera, CA during the 90's and earlier in my life.

Yes, Latinos love their bambinos. They love them so much that teenage girls feel proud when they get knocked up. Their macho men also feel proud that they can actually impregnate a young girl. It's like a badge of honor for their machoism.

However, Boy, once those bambinos in the inner cities start to hit puberty, they get pushed out on the streets...mostly due to their mothers having to work and having no fathers to support or guide them. Their family ethic goes to shit and those adolescents/teens hit the streets.

They turn to gangs since they longer are wanted by their teen/young mothers and join gangs to feel wanted. I've seen it over and over again through my 63 years. That's one of the reasons I have been against illegal immigration all my life. Many Latinos have a moral grounding, but so many many others just don't care. And don't start me on welfare queens, along with their welfare kings.

You need to shut your elitist pie-hole that you know nothing about. I grew up on the streets of Los Angeles and watched those poor children roam the streets until they got their gang colors. I know because I fought them once in gang fight. Have you?

The blacks have the same problem. The "baby daddys" jump their girlfriends and then leave. Yes, it happens with white trash, also, but to a much lessor extent. Most Asians are the last race I have any respect for.

You're an ass and don't know anything about the real world, much like your other elitists. Keep telling yourself there is no difference between cultures and you will sleep well at night.

Here's an answer as I always suggest to the problem rather than just whine. If you care one iota about the future of the greatest and most productive and benevolent nation this rock has seen, stop giving my tax dollars to those who would rather sit on their ass and get free Obamaphones.

Cut welfare back even more and watch them get jobs or at least group together to survive, as many ethical folks do. I owe none of them a TV, A/C, Car, i-Phone, et al. I don't want them to starve, but our so-called poor are rich compared to so many other cultures/countries.

Grow up and go away. Jeb Bush, if you run for president, I will oppose you. You're the same old bleeding heart socialist politically correct politician that is killing our once great experiment. You will play the socialist/democrat tune and think you are being open. Go away.
