Posted on 06/11/2013 9:51:50 PM PDT by Nachum
After you read this- you will wonder what country we are in.
Tom Francois is an outspoken critic of Barack Hussein Obama- and has a robust Twitter presence. He also likes to dabble with his "paint" program to create funny cartoons. He has never threatened the President in any way, manner or form.
On April 11, 2013, he heard relentless pounding on his door shouts of "Police!" The officers introduced themselves as members of The Secret Service and asked if they could "take a look around."
Since Tom had nothing to hide (and he didn't want any return visits) - he complied fully with their request. He even signed a consent to search his premises AND an "Authorization To Review Medical and Mental Health Records!"
They asked Tom if he ever left his state or traveled to Washington, D.C.

Better get your pressure cookers before they require an extensive background check.
A,B,C,.... But in random order.
Ever see the farside cartoon where they threaten to use "Mr. Thingy" on the suspect that won't talk. I don't know about you but, that one would have me shaking in my boots.
“I got the dreaded phone call. Actually a nice lady and we did it over the phone.”
Not into stories about phone sex. Sorry.
So, I guess I must upgrade my disdainful rhetoric about Obama. At 67 what are they going to do to me ...
You should be afraid of what they can do to your children and grandchildren.
I have nothing to hide and I still wouldnt let them take a look around. I will, however, take out my cell phone and begin recording the entire exchange, inform them of my intent to post it on the internet, and tell them to go ahead and make any not-so-subtle threats to my freedom they care to have the world see.
You actually think they would just stand there and let you do that?
Actually right now the ACLU is on our side on this. It might not hurt to give them a shout either. They actually went to court for student several years ago that wanted to start a "Rush Limbaugh" club on a college campus.
Why do people keep spouting that “I have nothing to hide...” crap? Tell them no, not without a warrant.
Actually right now the ACLU is on our side on this.
They know He-Who-Must-Never-Be-Named is watching and listening to everything they do, too. And they don’t like it.
I assume by AF network he means work access internet, not private use.
When they left Tom's house, one Secret Service Agent 'advised'-"Keep in mind, if you step over the line, we'll come back for your guns."
They said they were going to "turn it over to Eric Holder- he has the last word on what to do, if anything."
Call me cynical, but I just can't see those words (either quote) coming out of the mouth of a Secret Service agent (not least because the Secret Service is part of the Department of the Treasury, so it doesn't even report up to Holder). Those quotes strike me as implausible at the least, and quite possibly made up.
after the last couple of days then maybe if they did read this site they might be happy with a couple of freepers seeing as those couple think it’s alright to spy on all of us and then call someone a traitor but can’t even answer a simple questions like what secrets did he give away which harms the country?
For many years. Put an ip watcher on your homepage or your blog if you write one.
And those are just the ips you can see. I am sure there are less detectable ways.
I would have told them hell no, get a warrant. Then take pictures of everything they did and call the local news. I would have really been on their radar after that.
Agreed. Never consent to a search. Never. That’s what they want. Make them get a warrant that you can use against them later.
“You actually think they would just stand there and let you do that?”
I should say, the scenario I described assumed the agent paying the visit is trying to toss around “athori-tah” instead of being professional and polite. I only give respect when I’m given respect.
That said, they wouldn’t be able to do anything more to me than they did with Doug Tankersley. If you’re unfamiliar with his case, you can find it at the Photography Is Not a Crime site.
Long story short: He’s photographing flowers near a dam. FBI pays him a visit. He greets the FBI agent with a camcorder. The agent acted professionally.
Personally, I would not have conversed with the agent for as long as Doug did — only because the longer you talk the more you open yourself to an inadvertent lie to a federal agent, even if it’s something said in jest.
“They wont like that, and it might cause the person doing it more trouble. I do wonder why someone so new would post that which might be bad advice.”
Oh thanks — I’ll be sure to ask your opinion about what opinions I should be able to post because of my sign up date before making any future posts.
I’m not paranoid. I have the 2A and I’m not afraid to use it.
They not searching our data for foreign terrorists. They’re searching it to create domestic terrorists out of thin air.
I won’t be turned into a terrorist because the NSA says so. We surround them. Two can play that game.
Expat 1000 ~ Seriously?
Yes, for an unrelated matter regarding a former resident in my house.
Or so he said...
Yes. The day after the election.
It was a private coversation with a friend. I’d rather not publish the contents on a public forum.
They click on the links to see where they go and screen capture what is said and posted.
I think it's a safe assumption to make that most of us are in that database Obama has developed (that Maxine Waters spoke of) and have been for some time now. Yes...we ARE on their radar. I bet Bill Ayers has already informed Barry of how many of us righties Barry will have to 'round up'.
I’d imagine all that scouring is automated. Analysts comb through bulk data looking for keywords, themes etc...
I haven’t yet received a visit but wouldn’t be surprised by one. I would like to know how far I can go to finding out who the visitors are etc. One question I would want answered is where and when did they learn about the US Constitution. I would also be inclined to call the local newspaper and invite a reporter to see and visit with my visitors.
We had a visit by the USSS during Klintoon, and thankfully, those threads have been removed ................................................................................................... FRegards

Thanks for reinforcing what I believe. Many will look to you to lead.
The FBI did a really good job in Boston.
Did you bury him or let the pigs eat him ?
No. I invited him in while I looked for the info he wanted, on my computer.
Please put me in your 'will'. That way, after they take your cellphone and shoot you in the back of the skull, I'll have some money coming in to pay my bills.
Likely yes. We just don't know where it is. Hope none of us finds out first hand.
Scary times are here and they are getting very dangerous, very quickly. Hard, irrevocable decisions will have to be made in the (near) future. If I were religious, I'd be praying right now.
We do have a Beria-in-training.
I’m missing a photo of a leading Democrat political candidate who got caught up in a sexual perversion situation back in the 1960’s. Perhaps the Secret Service can find it for me.
Boy what that story would do to the Democrat politicians from New York during that time of how they almost got elected a secret member of the Communist Party USA to Congress. He might also have been a Soviet asset for stuff he pulled during the VN war.
I’m also missing about 100 reports on Communist strategies and activities from the State Department’s “Research Notes and Documents” re Vietnam war. Really need them for research but I have a bad back and cannot lift heavy boxes.
Would appreciate any help the govt could provide.
Also, perhaps the Sec. Service could find out who stole that beautiful pure silver braclet the President of Cambodia gave me after our meeting/briefing with him and the Prime Minister.
Also missing one of my father’s CWO buttons from WW2. My son lost it in Iraq during combat operations. Would love to get that back too.
Anyone seen my father-in-law’s three or more Purple Hearts from the Pacific campaigns, including Iwo? Would also like to get back the blood he shed for this country and any body parts he left on the beaches.
“I hear you knockin’” and you can come in.
I’m seriously wondering if I shouldn’t get a Constitutional lawyer on retainer. A few hundred bucks for a consultation just might be worth it in the long run to have a good attorney on speed dial.
I only wish it were a nut-job conspiracy. Please add me for my personal amusement, or I shall report you to the Mods, DHS, NSA, FBI, IRS, etc.
Wow. Read the whole article at the link. This is insane.
You are now on my list. And alla theirs...
I would rather have a thread to see if any others on FR have been harassed and if there are enough people, have all of them cobble together their resources to file a class action lawsuit.
I think Obama wants to go North Korea on us.
Oh that did make me laugh..and I needed to!
I’m sure I’m already on theirs, especially since yesterday, when I made a big stink on Twitter about this very Secret Service visit. Committing political cartoons critical of Obama??? Oh, the horror!
