Liberals Pressure Obama Admin to Muzzle Wisconsin Talk Radio

A liberal activist and her group are continuing their efforts to silence talk radio in Wisconsin. Upset that the state’s two largest AM stations, WTMJ and WISN in Milwaukee, have show hosts with right-of-center political leanings, the group Media Action Center filed complaints last year asking the Federal Communications Commission to investigate the stations and force them to give more air time to Democrats and liberals. If they didn’t, the group asked the Obama Administration’s FCC to deny at least one station – WTMJ – its license to broadcast.

Last week, Sue Wilson, the head of MAC, used the anniversary of the initial complaints to tout a petition campaign she has launched to call on the FCC to crack down on talk radio across the country. Citing the recall election of Governor Scott Walker in Wisconsin as an example, Wilson said the actions of WTMJ and WISN show that talk radio abuses the public airways by promoting Republican candidates while ignoring Democratic candidates.

Wilson late last year filed a pleading with the FCC asking the federal government to deny the renewal of WTMJ’s broadcast license. Her petition, which is gathering signatures on a MoveOn.org hosted platform, states that, “The FCC must use its power to draw a clear distinction between fact and opinion in order to protect the public’s access to “bonafide” news on our public airwaves. Safeguarding the public interest is the FCC’s sacred obligation.”

Liberals.

Is there any Amendment in the Bill of Rights they do not hate?

Listen live for free through ‘I Heart Radio.’ We broadcast right from The Belly of the Beast in ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan,’ here in Wisconsin. :)

The delusional liberals in this state should be VERY afraid. :)

**** Wilson late last year filed a pleading with the FCC asking the federal government to deny the renewal of WTMJ’s broadcast license. Her petition, which is gathering signatures on a MoveOn.org hosted platform, states that, “The FCC must use its power to draw a clear distinction between fact and opinion in order to protect the public’s access to “bonafide” news on our public airwaves. Do it. Do it you moron, liberal scum. Open that box.

Now let’s see... I guess it will fall to the FCC to be sure that the rest of broadcast media is fair? NBCCBSABCCNNMSNBCNPR will need some serious scrutiny.

While I reserve my deepest hate for the traitorous media, I have enough bile left for the liberal foot soldiers.

It's not profitable to put leftwing crazy talk shows on the radio. Remember the utter, crashing failure of Air Amerika? People get enough of the extreme Leftist/Socialist/Communist/Totalitarian indoctrination at school, in the movies, and on TV.

It shows that they are very insecure about their agenda if they have control of 90% of the media and can't stand the light of Conservatism to shine on a smaller medium like radio....

Email sent to McConnell

McConnell plans to allow the bill to proceed by unanimous consent. It is precisely this cloddish leadership from McConnell that has rendered our filibuster-breaking minority worthless.

Let someone with courage lead if you have no courage! You will lose your election if you do this! We’re ready to go third party if this is how the republicans act.

I also sent email to gop.com telling them if this goes through we will go third party and asked by they are trying to destroy the party.

Since Reagan ended the Fairness Doctrine there is absolutely no legal basis for what these groups are asking.

“We strongly object to the rightwingers for blatantly broadcasting the truth to the subjects of the United Socialist States of Amerika! How dare they spread truth and morality to the public?

We have nearly a lock on what people hear and think and we are NOT about to have the masses find out what is really going on. Do you think we worked so long and hard for the last 40 years moulding the children's minds to our way of thinking?

Unfortunately, the government does not have the option to use the final solution to rid our country of the dangerous truths that made this country strong or the vile anti-tryannical ideas spewed forth by the founders...yet.

So, in an attempt to stifle the ugly 2nd amendment, we demand that all right wing radio stations shut down or at least play rebroadcasts of speeches by Mao, Stalin, Ceausescu, PolPot., Hilary Clinton, Bill Mahr, al gore, Obama or any other correct thinking people for a minimum of 20 hours a day on every radio station in Wisconsin.

We think that's only fair!”

Liberals. Is there any Amendment in the Bill of Rights they do not hate?

Apparently they are rather fond of the Fifth, when invoked by bureaucrats to avoid prosecution for pursuing nakedly political objectives in violation of Federal law.

Oh, they like the Bill of Rights. They are just against the same rights for those whom they disagree.

Funny thing though — if two stations were too many, the free market would dictate it and one or both would have to shut down. Apparently, there are plenty of listeners and advertisers.

But it is not about the free market and all about controlling “the message.” So, what they are saying is screw you talk radio listener, we know what is best for you and we are going to control what you listen to.

Such a ban would be immediately shot down by the courts because it becomes a true First Amendment issue since the government becomes directly involved through the FCC.
