Yesterday, Stephanie Cutter, Deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, appeared on Jake Tapper’s show The Lead on CNN.
During the segment Stephanie Cutter admitted she had attended meetings with then IRS Chief Douglas Shulman at the White House:
“A couple of facts here that I think are important for us to stick by, number one, the only reason we know about these visits is because the president makes everything public. Number two, what we’re really looking at some of these visits… What we are looking at the number of times that Mr. Shulman was cleared into the White House. It doesn’t necessarily mean he went to a meeting. Number three, many of those meetings were for healthcare implementation. I was in them with him. So there’s nothing nefarious going on.”

Yup. Sometimes I get the feeling the fix was in for 2008, and the Chicagobama Machine persuaded McCain (and the RINO / Rovian consultants) to throw the election. I don’t think she said from “incriminating” other people. I believe she said something like “protect innocent” people. She knew she could not say “to keep from incriminating” other people. She also knew that pleading the 5th always makes a person look like they have indeed committed a crime, so she tried to shift the idea to protecting innocent people, meaning no crime was committed at all. She thought she was being clever, but she stepped right into a trap.
I believe that Lerner will appear again before Issa’s committee. Lerner will get another opportunity to answer questions.
I remember wondering what the deuce was going on. We’re in the middle of Occupy Wall Street and the tea party meetings are focusing on reading lists and walking tours. I wish the “leadership” had told us what was happening.
