The macho posturing from my fellow Americans is rather tiring. We (and by that "I" and assuming others) look across the pond to see what will eventually be reality here. The U.S. border is porous allowing millions of illegal undocumented invaders immigrants to stream across carrying drugs and other contraband, to include muzzloid extremists. Then they can live the American dream of rampant drunk driving, crime without fear of reprisal, [multiple] ineligible voting, fraud, and cradle to grave welfare.

Long time socially conservative institutions that were looked upon with respect now embrace PC faggotry - see the Bugger Scouts of America and the U.S. military for examples. Wars are fought to capture hearts and minds, to build nations, and to prostrate and submit politically after winning militarily - see Vietnam, Iraq (x2), and Afghanistan for examples.

Cultural and religious institutions, such as marriage, that have been the basic building blocks of societies for millenniums are now undermined and infiltrated by perverts and used to demoralize and corrupt society.

There are now more people riding in the wagon than those pulling it; unConstitutional safety nets have turned into unConstitutional hammocks for grifters and no-accounts to lounge in....pointing out this fact is racist.

Defending oneself from a brutal attack is also racist - see George Zimmerman for example.

The reasons we went to war and separated ourselves from Britain in the days of yore? We have voted for ourselves. Freedom of the press? The mainstream media is the mouthpiece of the government. Oppressive taxes? Handing over 1/3 of your income is just "your fair share." Disarmament? Even many staunch 2A supporters have no problem banning "military weapons" such as grenades, machine guns, etc; and thus the slippery slope.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love my country. Well, I love the ideal of my country - the perversion it has become; not so much.

But, you can make the macho posturing akin to third graders picking on one another......you do it to feel better about yourself, to ignore/conceal your own shortcomings, and because you can.

We have been through the Martin case 1000 times on this site and I have explained why he was convicted. I have also stated every time that I opposed then and now his trial and conviction.

That case is the exception to the rule: British people have the right to self defence, always have despite the myth. In fact, the law is now stronger FOR the attacked/burglarised.
Even the useless PC Labour govt strengthened it.

The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.

As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. The IRS thoughtfully gave Obama Foundation retroactive fund-raising status.......which it stupidly never applied for.

Alton Ray Baysden, a former Dept of State employee, allegedly a registered Republican, who helped start the Barack H Obama foundation, declined to comment before seeing copies of a reporter’s passport and govt ID, along with a description of the article’s “motivation” and “slant.”

Repeated reporters' phone calls went to the organization’s voicemail and were not returned.

Self defence, despite the myth in America, is perfectly legal and allowed in the UK. This idea that it is illegal in the UK to defend yourself is complete rubbish. It has never been illegal, the right has never been taken away. In fact, the laws of UK self-defence have been strengthened.
I am a gun owner and its also legal for me to use my gun if necessary to defend myself.

I am British. I live here. I was in 2008 the victim of crime and had to use self defence. So I know what I am talking about, and I am TELLING you the facts and I am telling you you are wrong.

Not my POV, but the actual facts of UK law. I am British and unlike most here actually know the laws (as of 2008, first hand).

A Manchester man recently stabbed to death a burglar. Result?. Nothing. Justifiable death due to self-defence.

In 2008, I was confronted by a junkie with a knife and a screwdriver. I punched him, disabled him and held him until police arrived. For that I got stabbed in the hand. Result?. Commended by the police and court, and the junkie got 44 months. 6 weeks out of jail last year, he attempted to murder someone and is now back in prison for the next decade.

If you dont believe me about the UK, ask other British freepers like Vanders or Winniesboy, perhaps when you see we all say the same thing, perhaps you’ll grasp I am correct. Not because I am infalliable, but because what I am saying is the actual truth. We ARE British, we live here, so we know whats the law and whats the myth.

Once had an ex- Marine neighbor stop two Mexican toughs trying to knife a guy with his carbine. He had a bayonet on it, one of the idiots walked into it. Arrested at the hospital.

What was hilarious was another neighbor was upset that he did that - called it “macho” - couldn’t even pronounce it right. I laughed at him, said the guy prevented a murder.

His wife later left him. She couldn’t stand living with wet rag like that. Didn’t feel safe.

It isn’t “macho” to find your courage and stop a crime. It’s normal.
