Once again, it appears that we must parse a few presidential words. We went through this question at length during the 2012 election, but perhaps a refresher course is in order.
Notably, during a debate with Republican nominee Mitt Romney, President Obama said that he immediately told the American people that the killing of the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans in Libya “was an act of terror.” But now he says he called it “an act of terrorism.”
Some readers may object to this continuing focus on words, but presidential aides spend a lot of time on words. Words have consequences. Is there a difference between “act of terror” and “act of terrorism”?

It always bugged me that the idiot Romney didn’t ask, “How is it Candy, that you have the transcript and how is it Mr. President, that you KNOW she has it?”
He is hands down the most duplicitous potus in our history. Joe Biden would be better. Slow Joe is stupid but he doesn't seem to purposely hate our country.
Romney had been getting classified briefings during the campaign and he knew it was illegal for him to discuss classified info. So he wasn't gonna sound stupid and tell the joke without the punchline.
It took me three days to ask that question, and when I posted that on FR, most people who commented here did not yet realize that she had colluded to make that happen.
I'll be surprised if you actually understood what happened right then and there, and if you did why didn't you do something about it?
