The Minnesota Senate is expected to give final approval on Monday to a bill that would make the state the 12th in the United States to allow same-sex couples to marry and only the second in the Midwest.
Leaders in the Senate, where Democrats hold a 39-28 majority, have said they believe they have the support to approve a bill legalizing gay marriage. They set a vote for Monday on the measure that members of the state House approved last week.
Democratic Governor Mark Dayton has said he would sign the bill, which would make Minnesota the third state this month to legalize gay marriage after Rhode Island and Delaware. The law would take effect August 1.

It is so sad to see the once great country turn into a third world hellhole.
If they feel they have so much support, put it on a ballot and let the people vote for or against it. Every time it's put to the voters, it's been defeated. The only states that have it are ones where the legislature, all Demorat controlled, have passed it and the Demorat Gubner signed it.
Second world technically, if things are turning communist.
Besides the gay marriage fiasco the Minnesota Democrats are busy taxing everything imaginable. If you live in Minnesota you better have a deep wallet.

What is “second world”?
I have always heard of third world, and I, indeed, live in one of them, and 3 hours away from any big city.
Technology wise, I see no difference here then I saw in central Europe or the US.
Even the poorest of kids have a mobile phone, often more then one.
I have Satellite TV so I can watch FOX news and movies.
The world is now very small, and most everyone has what the other has.
The Democrat leaders in the Senate may have "support" by fools who believe that they can continue a transient popular culture, but it cannot continue. Same sex "marriage" is contrary to natural law and will NOT stand the test of time.
I hope that the lawmakers can be held liable for the added risk and costs to the health of safety of the people of that state.
The economy in Minnestoopid is going to implode. Not just taxes and regulation, but also political pressure to follow the DFL party line. Add to that the increasing requirement for “renewable energy sources” - 25% by 2025, some DFL’ers want to see it at 100%. The implosion going on in California will seem tame. Minnestoopind may wind up resembling Norkland.
I’m betting that this rush to approve gay marriage will within 5 years result in the legalization of polygamy...likely by the dictate of some liberal judge.

Minnesota’s pro-marriage amendment failed to pass by popular vote last year, getting 47%. The three states that have recognized ‘gay marriage’ by popular voting process last year are Maine, Maryland, and Washington.
To the state, marriage is whatever judges, pols, or 51% of the voting public thinks it is at any one time. That’s it, that’s all it can ever be to the state, at least in the modern era.

It’s hard to have much sympathy for silly states like DE and MN that commit hari-kari. But I guess there are small pockets of conservatives there who are overwhelmed by the liberals in their midst.
It is my certain belief that the marriage elections in the 4 states were all stolen. The Gaystapo was thoroughly demoralized by the showing in North Carolina's marriage amendment victory that there was no way they would let this happen again, "by any means necessary." They couldn't stomach the thought that in this day and age that they believe has gone completely homo-ingratiating that some state could dare vote against them. It doesn't match the narrative, and so the results had to be changed in typical Leftist fashion.
I think history will discover the corruption in these races.

NC passed it’s amendment by 61% in 2012 and was hailed a great victory by many. But consider—every state around NC passed their amendments at least 4+ years before 2012. Except VA in 2008 (57%), there wasn’t one state in that region that voted an amendment in by less than 75%, some were higher. That trend doesn’t look good to me, cheating or not.
Think about this, CA’s prop 22 passed by 61% in 2000 (prop. 8 was 52% in 2008). So NC basically tied the state of CA of 12 years ago on the issue of ‘gay marriage.’ If you would have told someone in 2000 that in 12 years NC would be where present day CA is on ‘gay marriage’ they would have thought you were crazy.

I stand corrected!
Wrong. It was approved by voters three times last November, with a fourth state (Minnesota) voting to reject an amendment defining marriage between a man and a woman.
