AP article. Whenever I post anything from the AP, it disappears. But the article is lamenting the incredible rise in carbon dioxide. Thoughts?

Their hockey stick graphs do not even show known temperature swings such as the little ice age (which ended in the mid 1800s and we are still emerging from it), and the midevil warming period (no modern temperature maps, but they grew citrus fruit in Great Britain and that shows it did not freeze during that period.)

The CO2 alarmists never talk about the fact that we are in a (probably short as a percentage) interglacial warming period that typically lasts only 20,000 years between ice ages. Human CO2 was not responsible for the great temperature warming that ended past ice ages or even this one. And C0O2 has changed by huge amounts as well. Most stays dissolved in ocean water, but there is equilibrium between ocean and atmospheric levels that is probably temperature related and not the other way around.

One should be very skeptical when those who lust to control the means of production devise computer models that show a fake crisis to give them what they want. Communists lie, get used to it!

Wow. Highest co2 levels in a gazillion years. And yet, they can’t explain why this Spring has seen one of the mildest tornado seasons in decades.

These idiots don’t know ****. They just make it up as they go along.

The natural rise in CO2 would have been 5-10 ppm based on the natural rise in ocean temps ,

I have read such numbers in the other places. I would like to know background of this value.

Concerning the 5-10ppm:

How was it determined and is it variable over time/area?

Have worldwide measurements over the decades across the globe verified this number?

Does this number originate with "consensus" scientists, or is someone of the character of Professor Linzden of MIT part of this determination?

Throughout the year, is this value linear across all points over water?

-----------------------

I have great distrust and anger at many of the so called Climate Scientists that are truly corrupting "real" science by knowingly fudging data and unscientifically attacking so called deniers.

What Faux Professor Mann did is so unprofessional he should have resigned in disgrace. But no, he is still lauded. It's sad how this issue is so politicized -- another example of how the left is destroying everything, thus revealing themselves as evil to their core.

The Gores are a disgusting bunch. His Daddy was a second-rate politician who made a pact with Armand Hammer, who acted as a bagman for the Soviets. Little Al was trained from childhood to be a Manchurian Presidential candidate. Hammer bribed Gore Senior with a sweetheart deal on Tennessee land that included a working zinc mine. Al Jr. has pocketed half a million dollars in royalties from that little operation alone.

Al Jr. is a total fraud, like so many other high-profile Dems. The AGW hoax was cooked up by the "one world under socialism" bunch, mainly UN and academic types. I'm sure they've been happy to let little Al line his pockets any way he can while acting as their political front man. The level of lies and corruption sustained in our current government is completely disheartening to those of us who believe in America.

Might explain why the southeastern US is experiencing incredible tree growth right now. The road crews are busy trimming the growth back to keep the freeways open. More CO2 means more wood.

The new “PC” phrase is “Climate Disruption”

“Climate Change” is soooooo 2012

Next year, it will be “Climate Catastrophe”

Done! I just called Paul Ryan and offered him a job.

How was it determined and is it variable over time/area?

Henry's law for solubility of gases in water and estimates of sea surface temperatures and some (not comprehensive) measurements of CO2 in the sea surfaces

Have worldwide measurements over the decades across the globe verified this number?

Very hard to measure, so no.

Does this number originate with "consensus" scientists, or is someone of the character of Professor Linzden of MIT part of this determination?

Lindzen starts out in a 1994 paper: "The question of global climate change has been a major item on the political agenda for several years now. Politically, the main concern has been the impact of anthropogenic increases in minor greenhousegases (the major greenhousegas is water vapor). The question is also an interesting scientific question. Restricting ourselves to issues of climate, the answer requires that we be able to answer at least two far more fundamental questions, both involving strong fluid mechanical components:
1. What determines the mean temperature of the Earth?; and
2. What determines the equator-pole temperature distribution of the Earth’s surface?"

Throughout the year, is this value linear across all points over water?

Definitely not. There is much more uptake than outgassing in high latitudes and much more outgassing than uptake in lower latitudes. Likewise more outgassing in summer than winter, etc. Also the ocean uptake and outgassing and vegetative cycling of CO2 is about 100 times greater than manmade CO2.

But by far the simplest explanation, that fits with the known evidence, is that nature was a source for CO2 up to around the 1800's when deforestation and manmade CO2 evened things up and now nature is a sink for CO2. We have some reforestation working to reduce CO2 (still IIRC net deforestation) but we have had never ending (exception for recessions) increases in fossil fuel burning.

More CO2 means more wood.

That's good since that is my heat source in winter.

Yes, including algae. The weepers and wailers talk about blooms of algae and how awful that will be but it will sustain an awful lot more life in the ocean which with overall benefits.

“Their hockey stick graphs do not even show known temperature swings such as the little ice age”

That’s because Mann’s climate “model” (really just a few hundred lines of code, not even really a model) was a fake. It was designed to smooth whatever input data was used. Stephen McIntyre proved that any series of data input into Mann’s “model” would have the bumps smoothed out. So the “model” was deliberately designed to remove the inconvenient Medieval warming period. Mann then concatenated modern historical temperature data onto the end of a series of supposed historical tree ring data in order to get the stick to go up at the very end, but failed to acknowledge that little “trick” in the paper, which was akin to tacking modern orange production numbers onto a series of historical apple production numbers and then pretending such a graph means something. The model and the paper were a 100% fraud from beginning to end.

An ethical science would have drummed Mann out of its ranks for perpetuating such a fraud. But like all of the rest of our institutions being deliberately destroyed by the Obammunists, there’s no such thing as ethics in science any more.

Seth Borenstein has as much to do with ‘science’ as algore and the Earth’s “millions of degrees” core.

arbon Trading Schemes in Trouble and Ignored

Why are carbon trading issues that have gone awry ignored by the media? Two examples: 1-scam artists from around the world, capitalizing on lax regulations at the Danish emissions trading registry have made off with an estimated $7-billion over the last two years, and 2- the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) announced that it will be ending carbon trading this year. Both of these have been underreported (ignored?) by most media.

http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/31193

Carbon trading is proof positive that GW is a scam. It has nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with money and control.

One of America’s biggest problems is that we have way too many “experts” living here.

When the facts are on your side, present the facts. When the facts aren't on your side, present the experts.
