Abducted Cleveland girl was chained to the wall 'like some kind of trophy'

At least one of the girls held captive in a Cleveland house for a decade was chained to the wall 'like some kind of trophy', it was revealed today, after police confirmed that ropes and chains were found in the hall of the house.

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight are believed to have been kept in multiple rooms of the house at 2207 Seymour Avenue where chains, tape and other bondage devices were found. Cleveland's police chief says the three women were often restrained and allowed out into the back yard occasionally.

Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath said in an interview on NBC's Today show that the physical condition of the three women rescued on Monday was 'very good considering the circumstances"

One thing I’d like to know is the citizenship status of these three brothers. They are in their 50s. Are they some of the Mariolito Boat Lift people Castro threw out of Cuba during Carter’s administration? We’re they later refugees? Were they born here? Just wondering.

I’d like to see them all killed in the most gruesome drawn-out way possible and then left in open coffins at the entrance to Cleveland with signs saying “This is what we do to kidnappers in Cleveland.”

They were born in Puerto Rico, a US territory and thus are American citizens from birth....

They are not Cuban or Cuban related

No, not in my mind....Americans pay federal income taxes...IIRC Puerto Ricans do not. Again, IIRC, this is really the big hitch in why so many do there do not want statehood.

Some articles talk about five babies being born to the captive women, and another mentions a woman’s name written on the wall with RIP.

Now, far better if the babies were sold on the black market to people who love them murdered, and far better if there was no other woman kidnapped and killed.

But - if these bastards were murderers too, it’s the only way they can receive the death penalty. And that poor little girl born to Amanda, maybe she loves her father, sick evil man that he is...

If I was one of those girls’ father, I’d make it my life’s mission to blow their effing brains out, or have it done.

Gut shot first, then the groin shot, a minute or two later, the brain shot.

There are plenty of good old Americans who do this type of disgusting, evil sh_t. Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Phillip Garrido (who abducted Jaycee Dugard), Ken Parnell (who kidnapped and sexually abused Steven Stayner for years), Cameron Hooker (who kidnapped and sexually abused Colleen Stan for 7 years). The list goes on and on. While these sick monsters need to be put down (or better yet, allowed to live tied up like these girls for the rest of their lives), its not an immigration issue.

the brain shot.

Is that really necessary? The gut shot should cause them to bleed out. Somewhat slowly. Seems like you are wasting a perfectly good round.

Sure there are. But it is rare that three siblings like this do something like this on such a scale. Deeper research will reveal deeply seeded feelings of hatred for America/Americans because of perceived racism and fellings of inadequacy, blaming it on the racist system over their own shortcomings.

We should ask the Apaches about how to terminate them. The Apache Indians had numerous ways to enact slow painful death on their captives.

A bullet is too good. Hanging is too good. I laugh at lethal injection. They need to be skinned alive, staked out in the desert sun next to a fire ant hill and have honey poured over them. This for starters.

Well, you could look at it that way, but a long drawn out slowly aimed head shot where they could see, even with their gut shot and groin hurt, would give them some sense of dreaded finality. I’d do it.

The Puerto Rican flag that he flew outside his house was probably a message to LE that should there be reports of additional people therein that any pursuit of such reports by LE will be met with accusations of racism — so keep your distance.

Hispanic households always have an excess of undocumented personnel — so reports of numerous unknown people or possible kidnap victims therein should just be dismissed. They have special INS protection and only the INS is allowed to conduct such investigations.

Look on a map. There is a cemetery behind the houses across the street from the house. That would be the perfect place to bury any other victims and they would never be found. Notice, too, the church a couple of doors down didn't deter these devils. I'm guessing he picked up students in his bus at the middle school a block away.

These scum are Puerto Rican, native American. And since they are about my age, I guess they are 3rd or 4th generation American.

My Puerto Rican grandparents would have been Americans before the Italian ones that came in the late teens of the 10th century. FYI plenty of my mom’s cousins who stayed on the island served in the armed forces through the Second World War to the present. They are most definitely Americans.

Unfortunately scum come in all colors, nationalities and ethnicities.

I was really surprised at the good shape the gal with the child looked to be in. She looked very healthy and cute. But one can only imagine the psychological damage they have. The comment of “like a trophy” was a bit odd to me - I would have thought “like a dog” or something. Obviously the perverted nutcases attitudes affected her. Perhaps they did spend their time admiring her and making remarks while she was chained.

I hope those women and child can recover fully in time. They obviously have something inside of them that gave them the will to live all of these years, and to attempt to escape.

Many United States citizens do not pay federal taxes either. Look, we can see you have a bitch about these guys being from Puerto Rico, but I doubt it was/is the reason they are evil. Yes they are evil and evil seems to know no boundaries. I live in Milwaukee and Jeff Dahmer was evil as well. So were the 9/11 hijackers. So was Andrei Chikatilo. All evil and all deserving of their fates before God.

Many United States citizens do not pay federal taxes either. .

Yes, so VERY patently, painfully true. The KEY difference being THEY (real citizens) were required to at least file some sort of federal personal income tax return, as AMERICAN citizens would be expected to do.

Somehow, this historical minimally explanatory/augmenting crappola of reasons why Puerto Ricans don't pay Federal Personal Income Tax and how they pay "many federal taxes" is some kind of valid substitute. It is NOT.

My "Bitch" is that we treat many people very, very differently. Depending on party of power, the "differently" varies greatly. The Democrats want Puerto Ricans to vote, and they want to vote, but not enough to want to pay Federal Personal Income tax - just vote.

This is a big diversion from the post. But words mean things. And equating some of those within the realm of benefits of being citizens doesn't equate to the same responsibilities. Take that as you will.

NO, actually, the ‘decision’ is left up to a vote in Congress AND a vote of legal persons in Puerto Rico as to whether they want statehood.

These last few decades’ sticking points with these elections has been by the ‘residents’ has been in their desire to NOT PAY PERSONAL FEDERAL INCOME TAXES.

Dudes, you (PRs) and sympathizers can’t have it both ways.

I don’t disagree with you that we treat people differently. Like paying lower minimum wages to people in our territories. Like having them pay into the federal tax system (SS, etc), but not providing the same benefits back out to them based on their living in a territory. Make them a state and make the rules the same, or let them go and have their own system.

But, whether you like the process or not, legally, they are US citizens.
