If a majority of AZ voters were worth anything, being on Mark "Wife Abuser" Kelly's hit list would be a badge of honour, and worth a bump of several percentage points in the vote.

Arizona doesn’t actually have US senators. The people who occupy the seats buy them, because they have the money to afford them.
McCain uses his wife’s beer inheritance money to destroy any Republican who would challenge him, their reputation so defiled afterwards that they are pariahs. It doesn’t matter if it is fabricated. It is so vile that no one could politically survive the deluge of hate.
Flake is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mormon church, and they are often politically unpredictable, with a large number of somewhat ultra-conservatives, and a smaller, die hard group of radical leftists.
