Carville: 'Ted Cruz Is the Most Talented and Fearless Republican Politician
News Busters ^ | May 5 | Noel Sheppard

JAMES CARVILLE: I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years. I further think that he’s going to run for president and he is going to create something. I’m not sitting here saying he’s going to win, and I think Senator DeMint is right. I’ve listened to excerpts of his speech in South Carolina. He touches every button, and this guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. And he is going to be something to watch.

And a lot of Republicans feel this way, George, and you hear this a lot: "If we only got someone who was articulate and was for what we were for, we would win elections. And we get these John McCains and these Mitt Romneys and these squishy guys that can’t do anything." Well, there’s one thing this guy is not - he ain’t squishy, not in the least.

CARVILLE: Ted Cruz is going to eat their lunch. That guy, I’m telling you, he will out debate. I am just saying, he is a talent. I’m not rooting. I’m really sincere here. We watch him, he does things, I mean when he started talking about William Travis in South Carolina and the Alamo, this is a guy, and you go, "This guy is something." Now I don’t agree with him. I think he’s out there. But I’m telling you, he’s more talented than all of these other guys.

Yes. Perhaps why Democrats are afraid of him because they know no Repubs would stay home like they did for Romney and McLame. All of them would be out on election night.

Neat. Say what you will about Carville but once there is no strategic value to lie (and he’s out of the game, so there isn’t) ... at that moment, there isn’t a better judge of political viability and of political tactics than James Carville.

“McLame was born in Panama if I remember correctly. This will be given the okay by the senate.”

If a family is on US military duty anywhere and a child is born it is considred to be born on American soil.

Winning is easy for the GOP if the would run a solid conservative. Reagan also showed the right way of reaching out to those traditionally on the other side. I think Cruz can do that.

Carville is not called Serpent head for no reason! This is reverse info and warfare!

Nah. He's not in the game any more, not meaningfully. He runs a little consultant shop, but thats barely even run by him.

I've seen Cruz in action, and -- stripping the message, which I like -- Cruz has raw talent. That's why Carville is admiring.

Pat Cadell is one of the best there is and he’s a democrat.

He doesn’t bother to say he agrees or disagrees, he just calls it as he sees it.

Maybe it’s because he’s married to a Republican, and he pulls back his punches for the sake of his wife. But you are correct, he’s not only entertaining but makes good arguments for his side. Donna Brazile also does this from time to time.

I particularly agree that he’s fearless. He would NOT have let Benghazi pass in that third debate. He would have pulled out the looong knives.

McLamo and Mittens did not lose the election because of the hispanic vote...they lost because republicans refused to turn out to the polls and vote for these candidates.

They lost because they were pathetic candidates. Period.

I guess from Bill Richardson’s perspective, like a Jew, you ain’t Hispanic unless your mother is Hispanic.

Surprised no one has mentioned this quote from Carville:

“It’s a feel-good story, this Romney thing. Republican governor, Democratic Legislature. Romney is an ascendant guy.”

“His allegiance has never been to any other country but America.”

Too bad we don’t have more in Congress and WH with that philosophy. That’s been our downfall. Those who do not put the USA first need exposed as traitors.
