PRESIDENT OBAMA: Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can't be trusted.
We have never been a people who place all our faith in government to solve our problems. We shouldn't want to. But we don't think the government is the source of all our problems, either. Because we understand that this democracy is ours. And as citizens, we understand that it's not about what America can do for us, it's about what can be done by us, together, through the hard and frustrating but absolutely necessary work of self-government. And class of 2013, you have to be involved in that process.

I don't know who you had for teachers, but I do remember saying the Pledge of Allegiance every school day, which states that the flag of the United States of America stands for a Republic.

Those voices that Obama is asking his audience to reject are those of the Founding Fathers, most notably Jefferson and Franklin. But, after all, Obama wants to be "transformational," and you can't do that before you tear down the foundations upon which the United States was built.

They have, if they even considered it in the first place. For 99% of them without the Government to hold their hands and wipe their asses as necessary, they could not exist. What they do not know is that in the very near future, the Government will begin culling the herd and weaning about 90% of them off the Governmental teat. Permantly. Only a select few will survive. And they will be chosen on:Race, sexual orientation, and political party affilication and participation. And the last thing they will learn is that stupidity is very expensive.
Just take out “not” in his speech and you will see the truth.
He’d take 100 % if he could but then he knows you’d quit like the others and then he would have no money to give away to the takers and they would unseat him from his throne.
Obama’s being silly. These kids spent four years in a liberal elite bubble. There’s no way they would have heard any conservative ideas in that environment.
