America should not tolerate extremist Muslim actions like the Boston bombing. We need to establish a mechanism of distinguishing between extremist and moderate Muslims, so that we can keep extremist Muslims out of America. Does any of you know how to distinguish between those two groups?
One suggestion may include requiring all Muslims who want to enter America, to eat a pork chop or bacon sandwich. A moderate Muslim who has no strict religious beliefs, would not mind taking a bite out of a pork chop or bacon/ham sandwich.
There is no upside to Islam. There is no peace with Satan.

The "extremist Muslim" has a suicide vest strapped around his body and walks into a street/restaurant/bus/nursery and detonates it with a hand held switch and takes his life along with everyone else.
The "moderate Muslim" leaves the bomb planted in the street/restaurant/bus/nursery and walks a block away, and detonates it from a safe distance with his cell phone.
In other words, the "moderate Muslim" has more "feelings". He doesn't really see the point in killing himself along with everyone else.
Sorry I don’t have any better suggestions for you, other than just closing the gates and pulling up the ladders on most immigration (and the building of walls down South: Good fences make good neighbors). I was glad to see some threads lately questioning why we allow so much immigration from Muslim countries, anway. A question that seriously needs answering... I heard somewhere once it was the liberal Western politicians caving in to OPEC back in the ‘70s, i.e. thirty pieces of silver for their pockets and our cultural suicide.
I do have to shoot down your suggestion of making them eat pork, though. A close Arabic (and nominally Muslim) friend of mine, who is a US citizen, really just can’t stand the taste of pork, probably because she was raised without it. (I can’t even eat pork anymore myself, due to health reasons. Please don’t kick me out of the country for that. We are the last bastion of freedom in the world, despite (temporary) Leftist control and anti-American immigrant invasion.)
My friend does, however, absolutely despise all Middle Eastern governments, recognizing them for the totalitarian dictatorships that they are and she despises those who commit acts of terrorism in the name of her (or any) religion. She would be the first to pull the switch or trigger on any of them. She also hates it that Islamic countries promote wearing a veil, where it’s not so much a religious requirement (only briefly and vaguely mentioned in the Koran), as it is a cultural mandate, i.e. guided by mysogeny and/or misplaced over-protection in societies where rape is rampant...
So, I agree with you that we need to find a litmus test for Muslim immigrants. I just don’t believe the food test is the way to go. Maybe a very thorough exam on the US Consititution and history (and English language), along with a denunciation of any form of Islam that would harm the United States or its citizens. Plus, put them all (which should not be many in the first place) under the Big All-Seeing Eye of Uncle Sam... Or maybe just stop it altogether except for maybe military spouses...

You’re right in that the Klingons were “the enemy”. So, if you want to transpose that onto the Arabs in jest, that’s your prerogative. Just don’t go re-writing (Star Trek) history. I think someone said something about re-writing history once...

It is inevitable that the entire world consisting of humans with IQs over 50 will conclude, eventually, that islam is NOT a 'religion.' Remove the murdering militancy of the typical koranimal, and he ceases to be muslim.

Moderate Muslims are the ones you have to shoot through (”collateral damage”) in order to get the extremists.

That revision works, but it still never really happened. I remember that joke or a version of it not long after 9/11.
