It is plausible but Obama is the bigger liability right now for any 2014 and 2016 ambitions. CBS did not become “honorable” overnight and my guess is a political calculation is at work. These are not honorable people and replacing Obama with Biden may be seen as the price that must be paid to hold ground in 204 and push Hillary out front in 2016. Biden is stupid and easily manipulated so why not?

Of course, this whole thing could be a molehill and CBS is just doing pre-emptory damage control by the appearance of a bona fide investigation. I think another poster suggested that and he (or she) may be right.

Very possible, but to little to late IMHO. As someone has already noted. Who ordered the stand down, if a stand down was in fact ordered (and we know it was) is the real question. That is the "off with their head" offense. I predict lots of finger pointing if the GOP has the guts to "go there", which remains to be seen.

These ‘whistle blowers’ are not ‘witnesses’. The most they can do is ‘testify’ to what most of us already know. In a court of law, this is usually called ‘hearsay’.
