Amid attempts in the U.S. to pass immigration reform and build a stronger North American economy, President Obama on Friday sought to put the United States' relationship with Mexico on stronger footing, saying that the two nations are "equal partners."
"Just as Mexico is being transformed, so too are the ties between our two countries," he said before an enthusiastic crowd at Anthropology Museum in Mexico City. "As president, I've been guided by a basic proposition -- in this relationship there is no senior partner or junior partner. We are two equal partners--two sovereign nations that must work together in mutual interest and mutual respect, and if we do that, both Mexico and the United States will prosper."
Mr. Obama on Friday was on the second day of his three-day trip to Mexico and Costa Rica, where the economy has been the biggest item on the agenda. Yesterday, he met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, and the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to concluding negotiations with other nations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) this year. The U.S. has the opportunity to help lift Mexico up on the international stage -- which, in turn, would help the U.S, given their closely linked economies.
Mr. Obama said that "Mexico that is taking its rightful place in the world," joining the ranks of the world's largest economies and standing up for democracy.

Obama and his rats and RINOS are equal partners with the Mexicans in soaking the American taxpayers.
Mexico is a third world country where the rule of law has broken down. So I would not agree with Obama, yet, not until he’s had a couple more years in power.

What is this AHOLE’S obsession with equality. I mean really, he thinks everyone and everything should be equal. Life ain’t like that pal. The more I think about it the more I’m thinking it may come from some deep seated inferiority complex.

I sent this off to my local rag....pretty sure they will print it:
“Open letter to Mr. President Obama:
Dear Your Excellency, Sir:
I notice you were addressing a college crowd in Mexico about your legislative agenda. Are you running for office in Mexico? If so, please let me know when I can contribute.
During the address, I notice you alleged most all the firearms used during violence in Mexico came from the US. I missed the part wherein you could have pointed out it was your administration which was responsible for many of these firearms going to the drug cartels during a program run under the auspices of your attorney general. One of these firearms was used to kill a US Border Patrol Agent but rather than aid the Congress in its endeavor to find out how all this came to be, you used executive privilege to withhold documents from the Congress. Did you include this in your presentation?
I also heard you thank those in attendance for making your election win possible. Are you admitting some illegally registered people voted for you or did they illegally contribute to your campaign?
Lastly, you refer to US policies interfering with the rights of Mexican Citizens. What policies were you talking about? If it is our immigration policy, do you understand you as President are responsible for carrying out the laws of the US whether you agree with them or not? I would like to point out you are President of the US, not imperial ruler of the world or perhaps just of the Americas; so your feelings about specific laws or things like the Constitution are moot regarding your duty to carry out those laws.
Does everyone love us yet?
