A great opportunity to hire some actual journalists, if such can be found.
If the words “Communications” or “journalism” appear anywhere on their resume, they are not qualified. Find people who have business experience to report on business issues, etc.
MEMO to those who quit: There are few opportunities for your left wing open minded journalism but we are happy you are leaving. Don’t let the door hit you in the backside on the way out. BTW, when you quit, no unemployment for you and thanks for helping bring the bottom line up with less dead wood on the staff.
That would be GOOD —these are the folks who should be fired! Lots of good Journalists who are conservative but fear to come out of the basement. Some are reformed liberals who have seen the light! Many will stay on and see the paper go balanced. It would be a good thing for them and the city—the Times has Mis-served for decades. It reminds me of all the liberals who say they will move out of the US if so and so is elected—They never do. Jobs are too hard to find in the Media—If a dozen leave I will be surprised.
Fire them, hire us. One paper at a time.
