But since we probably can't convince anyone that he belonged to the Tea Party, we're desperate to come up with ANY explanation for his actions. I mean, any explanation other than that he was an observant Muslim. We could try blaming Bush, but some Americans may have noticed that Bush is no longer in office. Yeah, the whole CTE business is pretty thin, but it's all we got. The important thing is to shove this little kerfuffle down the memory hole as fast as possible, before people learn what "Allahu akbar!" means.
