actually I read a report ( wish I could remember where) that they had an M4 assault rifle...
the AR-15 is a semi-automatic while the m4 carbine is fully automatic. while it is legal to own an AR15 ( this is the gun feinstein wants gone) it is completely illegal for a civilian to have an M4.
So if what I read is true... where did they get one? They are also verrry expensive 6,000 to start.

I can tell you why...MA has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.
If the police went out waving around an M4 assault rifle that was already illegal in front of a mostly disarmed citizenry how do you think that would look? Proof that criminals don’t care what is legal and what isn’t. The m4 assault rifle is already illegal for any civilians to own.
Well, that's their motivation and purpose, right? They shot the boat for 15 minutes and couldn't manage to kill him, so now they'll make sure he gets a mistrial and he'll never be seen or heard from again.
