Organizing for Action, the activist group that grew out of President Obama’s 2012 campaign, plans what it calls a “major day of action” next month to gather support for the bipartisan Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform bill.
“This is a huge moment for President Obama,” said Emmy Ruiz, OFA’s immigration campaign manager, in an email sent to supporters of the Obama campaign Sunday. “The president made it clear last year that comprehensive immigration reform is a big part of his agenda — and we can help him keep that promise to the American people.”
“OFA supporters across the country are doing what they do best — organizing to get the word out about this reform bill,” Ruiz continued. “We’re hosting a major Day of Action the first week of May, and we want your help in getting people to be a part of it.”
Ruiz asked Obama supporters to take part in a phone bank at OFA’s Washington headquarters this Tuesday to “start laying the groundwork” for passage of the bill. “This is a bill that can pass the House and the Senate,” she wrote, “but only if we’re willing to fight for it.”
Some Democrats on Capitol Hill have been wary of sounding too enthusiastic about the bill, worried they if they embrace it too openly, Republicans might conclude that Democrats got the better end of the deal. “Democrats are reluctant to sound too positive, fearing that would scare away Republicans,” Politico reported recently. “Their official response to the bill has been muted, with one press release after another calling it a starting point that must be improved. Yet that description…understates the extent to which Democrats believe their side made off with more policy victories than it could’ve predicted.”
That’s exactly what many skeptical Republicans suspected. Now, with Organizing for Action going into full campaign on behalf of the bill, those skeptics will likely worry more than ever that Democrats out-maneuvered the GOP members of the Gang of Eight.
Promise to the American People?? No, to ILLEGAL ALIENS!! He or the Cartel Del Ocho care NOTHING about the AMERICAN PEOPLE.
There is no legitimate reason to support amnesty for illegal aliens. They have demonstrated they are willing to break our laws. This bill is simply another step in destroying this country.
I’m truly sick of the 8 Dwarfs making determinations that our representatives should be hashing out among themselves.
Why bother having representation if all they do is vote up or down....
What about a path to citizenship? Of course, we already have that and should keep it - for those who follow the legal path for entering our country and obtaining citizenship the way my ancestors and those of most productive Americans did. Also, we need to limit birthright citizenship just a tiny bit. It should be only for the children of lawful permanent residents, not those born to an illegal or some vacationing foreigner staying in a maternity hotel to buy citizenship for her child without having earned it for herself.
His handlers are trolling for votes . . . if they think we’re that stupid to think that they have a patriotic love for these interlopers, they’re dumber than I thought. Even dumber than their sockpuppet Obumber.
Obama MUST have a passed immigration bill in hand for his scheduled visit with the Pres. of Mexico next month.
There is not one new law that we need . . . not one . . . enforce what we already have . . .
We want no more immigrants who may come down with Sudden Jihad Syndrome at any moment.

What all conservatives must realize FAST, is that those very same people are friends and associates of Grover Norquist, who is married to a muslim and has his very own Islamic Institute, funded by a terrorist sympathizer who is in PRISON.
Yes, the same Grover Norquist who wrote this amnesty and advises Marco Rubio.

These horrible images, this carnage should be pasted on billboards, televisions, anywhere else the public can see it. I believe there would be a significant change of opinion regarding many things. Instead, liberals like to hide horror, because of “the children”. They don’t like to see what their liberalism reaps, they like to believe that a bomb knocks people down, gives them a little bump on the head, worse case scenario, the bump kills them instantly. Similiar to how they think a tiny little seed is gently removed from a womb.
AuntB, we are at war.
Few people understand this.
And whats more, because of Obama, we are loosing that war.
If Obama likes it, it must be bad for America. It is tragic that this is now an operative way to judge legislation.
