There is no way, imho, that these two worked alone. There’s too much evidence to the contrary.
The narrative was that they had access to expensive cars and money, but then after the bombing they were scrambling to get a beat-up old Mercedes out of the shop.
They were put up to it and then either were abandoned or were to have died in the bombings.
The younger one was a lifeguard (ironic, isn't it?) until he got fired for not showing up. The older one was reported to be a "stay at home dad" while his wife worked in home health care. I'm sorry, I have no links, that just what I have read.

There was no nice Mercedes that I’ve seen. There was a very beat-up old Mercedes wagon. The brothers had FRIENDS who had nice cars, according to their mechanic, a Hispanic who does not speak English well.

They had multiple unregistered guns, not free, ammo not free, pressure cookers/bomb parts not free, cell phones, cars, etc, living in Boston not free, no jobs that we know of, I looked for any reporting on any jobs the older one did work some odd jobs pizza delivery etc, he is married with a kid wife works he doesn’t, full time students, so how were they living? Even if they got scholarships they obvioulsy don’t cover all the costs of education... Someone was sponsoring them, I certainly don’t buy this crap that they acted completely alone, they were here being sponsored and mentored by one Jihadi group or another and our idiot in the White House refuses to link Islamic Jihad as the MO to these terrorists.
