Well, IF (and that is a big if) the suspects are Muslims, then it will upset liberals.
If the suspect is white, expect the "Tim McVey" treatment for every Republican, Christian, and Conservative.
Ann Coulter was on Hannity today - and she was right about that irony - because McVey was a militant atheist.
After we boil everything down, we have to realize that the "politics" or whatever we want to call this lies at a much deeper level. What we are really dealing with is Evil. When humanity sinned against God, we crossed a chasm that separated us from the Almighty. It is only by Christ that the chasm is bridged.

It is very simple to understand, if you have a God vs. Satan perspective.
Islam hated America because it had supported Israel, and also because of its Christianity.
Today, Obama's America is hostile to Israel and we are less Christian as a society and culture than we were even a dozen years ago.
I foresee totalitarianism coming to America. In fact, in many ways, we are already living in a police state.
Perhaps there is a small (very small) chance that we will somehow turn things around, but that light seems to be fading. The only possible way America could become the land of the free again would if we would turn to God....as a nation. But, we should remember that God hears the prayers of individual hearts, because that is what He adores and loves.
In fact, He died for individual hearts, and rose again.
My prayer is that God saves us from ourselves, and our sins.
I agree with you! I think one reason that God came to our aid with Reagan in the 80s after Jimmy Carter, is that we weren’t afraid to speak out as CHRISTIAN conservatives. The media made fun of the “Moral Majority” but people were standing up as Christians.
Now, we have the Tea Party, which in a lot of ways is much more secular/free market economic/ balanced budget oriented..There is nothing wrong with that part of it , but I think we need to make our Christian faith front and center again of what we are fighting for and not be ashamed of Christ.
I think if we Christian conservatives would speak out again that we love God and want to follow the Bible, and not be ashamed of that, that God would honor that and help us again. If we are just praying for relief from debt and taxes, and tyranny, not so much. Government is in place really for one reason, to be the civil authority on earth to protect against evil and bring justice to evildoers . It’s a matter of what a society counts as evil. Is it killing a baby, or killing the spotted tree toad? Is it letting child molesting perverts have access to young boys in scouting, and protecting the “feelings” of those perverts, or is it protecting the innocent young children? What does a society say should be judged and condemned and prohibited, and what or who should be protected?
If we conservatives aren’t willing to stand up and say that the law SHOULD reflect Biblical law, then why should God help us out?
And yes, you can legislate morality, that is what EVERY law does, whether written by a conservative or liberal. It just comes down to whose morality are you legislating. Now, what you can’t do with the law is change men’s hearts = as you said, that comes from Christ within us.
I pray for repentance too, and that the wishy washy happy clappy megachurch Christians would wake up and get serious again about loving God , obeying His word, practicing self control themselves, and honoring Christ in everything.
