Boston Marathon explosions: Police confirm explosion near finish line

Lot of people speculating about a natural gas explosion. Being older than dirt, I can remember when they used to light natural gas and burn it off at the wells. We used to think it was great to go out and watch (hey there were no video games then).

Always some variety of blueish explosion. Looking at the color of that blast, I’d bet a beer that natural gas had nothing to do with it.

Now I’m hearing they are finding more devices; Boston police are pleading for people to leave the area.

April 15th or tax day......

If this was a anti-government protester, he/she would have likely targeted a government building, like the IRS, Congress or some other symbol of Government.

If this is a foreign terrorist attack, then a high profile international event like the Boston Marathon would fit. There has been a lot of warnings that jahadists want to do acts of terrorism within the US. So this could be the start of that. A little too early to tell, but likely.
