US police have arrested a beggar who allegedly set a man on fire outside a convenience store because he didnt give him money.
The 37-year-old beggar reportedly approached his victim as he got out of his car at a California 7-Eleven store and asked him for money, US network ABC reported yesterday.
The 63-year-old man refused to give him money and walked into the shop.
When the man left the store and got into his car the beggar doused him and the inside of the vehicle with a flammable substance and lit it on fire.
"With the door open you could see the entire insides were ablaze," a witness told Good Morning America.
"He came out and he was horrifying. His entire shirt was on fire, his head was on fire."
The victim was rushed to hospital with third degree burns and is in a critical condition.

Politics follows culture, and our culture is in the toilet. Momentum continues in the wrong direction. The war was lost decades ago.
I thought Trayvon was killed by Zimmerman?
This is ObamaNation now. If a freeloader demands your money, you better give it to him/her.
Long Beach, CA.
Probably not. I will donate some semi-precious metals, though.
Gold and silver I do not have but here’s some lead for your ass.
This is why it is necessary for Americans to never leave home unarmed. Our society is out of control. It’s full of Freaks Gone Wild.
What a cruel thing to do.
I don’t know why but somehow I am still amazed at what human beings can and will do to one another.
A “sense of entitlement?”
After seeing someone do that to another human being, would you, a witness to the crime, be justified in blowing the perp’s brains out? He was, after all, in the act of using deadly force against someone, and was even eyeing you or someone else quite menacingly, with his lighter fluid and lighter in hand, you’d say.
So what’s the angle here? Scenario A ? Scenario B ?
I bet the perp was black they seem to light people on fire
or at least most of the stories I have read about this sort of crime the perp has been black. I did not see much about the person who did it in the story I could be wrong it’s just a hunch.
Photo of perp at link. He’s black...
Perp’s name is Raymond Sean Clark and he’s black
“Can’t we all just get along?”
the perp is black. Is the victim? I hope we dont have another hate crime here.
>He was being held in lieu of $502,000 bail.
There should not be a chance of bail for this act. Slow torture or death, but never a chance to escape his deeds.
That’s what I thought. A few years back there was a man in New York and he killed his apartment manager in the elevator. He was dressed like an exterminator although his head was not covered and he sprayed her with a liquid and then set her on fire it was caught on tape in the elevator he was black.
In those circumstances, even if armed, I’m not sure if the target (any target) would have realized the danger in time...
Once you’re burning, it’s really hard to defend yourself.
I guess you mean if the victim was black it would be a hate crime because he was made to turn on his own people by the usual nefarious individuals, who must be sought out and punished. That’s about where we’re at.
And its obvious this black guy had been planning to set a white person on fire for a while. He had his matches and gasoline ready to go. All he needed was a white person to diss him to give him the excuse to light up a white guy.
Agreed. Pests respond well to high-velocity lead injections.
I carry everywhere and have hollow point for just such actions by these leeches of society.Urban outdoorsmen as Boortz would say.
In the dark, a shovel of stars overhead for keeps, the people march.
Where to? What next?
... ‘course, that was a lefty sentiment from Sandburg, but everything stands on its head these days.

“I’m paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?” I’m not saying I could or would have escaped an attack like this, but I wonder. I sure would have been on the lookout for the guy. Maybe I wouldn’t even have gone into the store. Don’t know.
everything stands on its head these days.
Just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean you are not being followed. Old joke maybe..
Give this despicable man the max, and he won’t have to panhandle again. He’ll get his three sops and a flop in prison.
The poor guy is one year younger than me and I am sure that I would not have made it through this attack.
While it seems that a firearm wouldn’t have changed the outcome, this is one more reason that I NEVER leave my home without my CC, NEVER.
Re: Silver and gold have I none, but here’s some lead for your a-s.
You are a true poet - thank you for the chuckle.
KABC-TV Chan. 7 Los Angeles:
I wonder who is promoting that?
A close family friend, white in his 60's, waiting at a bus stop not far from our home was set upon by several black punks. They doused him with some gasoline and set him afire. Barely survived. Third degree burns over much of his upper body, endured a couple years of skin grafts and therapy but lost use of one arm. He would often take my hand to his neck, telling me I was rubbing his ass because that's where the skin graft came from. White victim, black perps.
From another direction: After seeing someone do that to another human being, how could you, a witness to the crime, be justified in not blowing the perps brains out? He was, after all, in the act of using deadly force against someone, and was even eyeing you or someone else quite menacingly, with his lighter fluid and lighter in hand, youd say.
