N. Korea Threatens Nuclear Strike On Tokyo In Event Of War, Or If Japan Downs Test Missile

Pyongyang warned that Tokyo would be its primary target if war broke out on the Korean Peninsula, if Japan maintains its "hostile posture." It also threatened a nuclear strike against the island nation if it intercepts any North Korean test missiles.
In the comments, carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Friday, Pyongyang lambasted Tokyo's standing orders to shoot down any North Korean missile heading towards Japan, Seoul-based Yonhap news agency reports.

Kim seems to forget that Japan has the Standard SM-3 and SM-6 ABM missiles. The SM-3 went 5 for 5 in actual firings, including bringing down a decaying orbiting satellite. The JMSDF would shoot his missiles down and then the NorKs would get a real wake up call.

you may be right, but with our relationship with Japan becoming unreliable, I still am not sure I want them with nukes. They have caused us good deal of trouble in the past when they had an enhanced capabiliy to enge in war......

Also, sanctions can be carried too far.We should have ended this long ago. When people suffer long enough, they become desperate, whether it is the result of an oppressive dictatorship, starvation. We are going to find this out as well. I am 62 years old and would love to live another 25 years.If this nation doesn’t reverse it’s course, I probably will not live that long. And if it doesn’t reverse it’s course, I probably will change my mind, and not want to live that long. I don’t want to have to see my children live under what is coming.

I suspect that they’re more likely just to go public with the fact that they’ve secretly had nukes for several years now. Not that I know that they have nukes, it’s just that I can’t imagine Japan NOT having nukes somewhere.

So just exactly how it Japan to know if a missile is a test missile or the real thing?
Japan is in a no-win situation. A preemptive strike would thus seem justified.
