U.S. admiral: Global-warming threat dwarfs N. Korea (Yep, he said it)

WASHINGTON – The military officer charged with monitoring North Korea at a time when the rogue nation is threatening to unleash missile attacks worldwide has used a Senate hearing to double down on his claim that it is global warming that is the real danger.

Navy Adm. Samuel Locklear III originally caused a stir just weeks ago when in a speech to scholars at Harvard and Tufts universities in Cambridge, Mass., he said the climate change factor should be the focus of American concern.

At today’s hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee he defended his assessment that global warming is the greatest threat to security in that part of the world.

According to the Boston Globe, Locklear said earlier, “significant upheaval related to the warming planet … is probably the most likely thing that is going to happen … that will cripple the security environment, probably more likely than the other scenarios we all often talk about.”

The UCMJ has an internal procedure for summarily relieving anyone subject to it from active duty, whenever they abdicate their oath of office, or are judged unfit to serve, and are deemed an immediate danger to mission readiness.

Act.

So the Navy that was supposed to protect the world from a North Korean missile attack, was apparently too busy with their fight against non-existant global warming to stop the missile. Yeah. That excuse ranks right up there with the dog ate my homework.

The only military brass left these days are nothing but a bunch of Obama boot lickers. All the good ones left.

Can our military ever recover? I spent 20 years in the military. My son asked me if I thought it was a good idea if he joined the military. Very sadly, I had to say I did not think the country was worth defending anymore. It pains me to say that, and I hope it changes, but right now, that is how I feel. You are right, I think the majority of the brass are Obama boot lickers.

I really expected this conversation to be about the use of the word “dwarf”. Doesn’t this admiral know how insensitive a word that is? Doesn’t he realize that the use of that word will undoubtedly cause the vertically-challenged leader of Korea to carry through on his threat to use nuclear weapons?

North Korea is such small-potatoes — Beneath the notice of the admiral leading the “Global Force for Good” or whatever they’re calling the US Navy these days. (Sarcasm)
