Why the United States is a Dying Country (Rush Limbaugh is now a pessimist. Here's why he's right)
American Thinker ^ | 04/10/2013 | Steve McCann

Posted on 04/10/2013 6:52:39 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Recently Rush Limbaugh opined that the United States is a dying country. For many years that reality has been painfully obvious to those of us who immigrated to the United States having experienced first-hand the suffering inherent in the near total destruction of a nation which inevitably occurs as the end-product of immorality, despotism and radical ideology.

This nation is repeating the disastrous evolutionary process that has plagued so many failed nations throughout mankind's history. This process begins with a society willing to reject the fundamental concept that is necessary for any nation to thrive and prosper: respect for the uniqueness of each individual and self-determination.

On January 22, 1973 the Supreme Court validated abortion on demand (up to the point of so-called viability) regardless of circumstances. Many of my acquaintances celebrated this decision as a monumental advancement in women's and societal rights. I, on the other hand, was overcome with a sense of foreboding. I was appalled and openly stated that this nation had embarked on the road of demeaning and devaluing life which would lead to a society devoid of morality and integrity with the ultimate ascension into power those who would destroy this nation as founded.

My warnings fell on deaf ears as I was ridiculed and accused of being an anachronism as these things could never happen in the United States.

As there were few that shared my premonition, I could only watch over the past 40 years as the American people have sanctioned, through legal abortions, the death of over 54.5 million children. Once this disregard of human life took hold, the citizens of this nation were susceptible to wholesale changes within society.

YES!!!! We must remember our historic heritage, the reasons for those early settlers seeking refuge on this precious piece of earth! This country is definitely worth our sacrifice!

Rush is correct. The election of The Divine One is a symptom of a fatal inward rot that has killed the morale of those who made and guided this country from its inception. Our people are no longer capable of governing. Indeed, we are even willing to die rather than lift a finger to defend ourselves and family. Other civilizations have experienced this.

Rush has been a pessimist for a long time now; which has led me and Mrs. Bears to stop listening to him on a regular basis (not that he or his advertisers are too worried about that). If I hear a rant when I turn him on, I immediately turn him off again.

Dale Carnegie observed in his wonderful book How to Win Friends and Influence People that “Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain--and most do.”

IMHO, Rush has fallen squarely into the fool category. For all of his professed admiration of Ronald Reagan, Rush has been most un-Reaganesque for quite a while; and, right now, we desperately need another Reagan.

There is only one Newt

There sure is--the guy who bungled the start of his presidential campaign by taking a Mediterranean cruise instead of going out and campaigning, causing most of his staff to quit in disgust. With all the baggage Gingrich carries, it's amazing the cruise ship didn't sink.

Indeed it is. Remember what Jefferson said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." There WILL be bloodshed. There will be no other course after 8 years of Obama and his cohorts. Pray for strength to see the fight through. God Bless America! again.

"Rush what would really help, is if YOU advocated returning American manufacturing to our shores."

Amen. Plus end nation building the world with blood and treasure. We are flopping like England who followed the same route.

We have never been alone. Not once, not ever. Our United States is the beacon of Freedom & Liberty, for all the world to look upon. Am I perfected by our warts of misuse. No, I am not. Yet, we still stand grand amongst the world tribes, in history. Perhaps, our current evolution is well timed, by the will of God...

Now he behaves like a liberal -- he's negative, he's depressed, he's a pessimist, he thinks Americans are idiots

He is by no means the only conservative who feels that way. It's tough to be an optimist after November 6, especially with the opposition to Obama being led by Bonehead, McStupid and Goober Grahamcracker, and with "conservatives" like Pat Toomey catching Potomac fever and turning their backs on the ones who put them in power.

Do you have tape on that?

“Spot on in so many ways! Rush is simply an entertainer watching out for his own butt. What a weak POS that is, IMO, when he has his golden mike and could have used it - THIS TIME - for AMERICA instead of himself.”

Wait ... it was you and the evangelicals that didn’t turn out this last time and handed O the win ... capiche?

DON’T avoid the facts to win your argument.

“The country is in decline, and it started before 0bama.”

Agree.

The almost total disrespect for life was one of the turning points.

Rush what would really help, is if YOU advocated returning American manufacturing to our shores.

I doubt you'll ever see TEXTILES, Shoes or Televisions made in the USA, unless we close our borders to IMPORTS, then shoes will cost $100 or more.

We discuss and talk about what has gone wrong ... Yet we ignore the main thing.

America as a nation have turned away from God almighty, Jehovah, and his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Our society has become ‘new age’, it is all relative, and we create our own world: or athiestistic, etc. Madeline O'hare removed prayer from schools. We have been in steep decline every since. Now we are approving abortions, and homosexuality being accepted as normal.

God forgive us we know not what we do, in Jesus name amen

Readers of the Holy Bible see many examples in the Scriptures, of God's displeasure with His peoples being disobedient to His Commands, God is not mocked. We are to follow His word. God uses, famine, pestilence, and dying by the sword,(war).

Here where I live we are experiencing drought, water rationing, and serious no water for several years. ... of no cotton crops, peanuts, etc. NO WATER! It is very serious to fall in the hands of an angry God.

Rush can scream it until he's hoarse, it'll never happen until the unions, lawyers, and oppressive taxes/regulations are gone.

Agreed. USA has the highest corporate taz rate on the planet. AWST ran an article in the April 1/8 issue (cannot post here) entitled "Hecho en Mexico" and described all the US aerospace companies moving down there because of lower wages, BUT ALSO because of the regulatory environment. Here is just one small excerpt....

"Old-fashioned labor-rate hunting explains much of the recent push into Mexico, especially from the U.S. and Canada. For instance, pricing pressure on the 737 trailing edge flap drive transmissions that it makes for Boeing prompted Curtiss-Wright Flight Controls of Shelby, N.C., to open a 70,000-sq.-ft. factory in Queretaro in January 2012. “Wages are one-tenth those in Shelby,” Director of Operations Everett Rice says.

But other factors are also at work. Kaman Aerostructures' lead factory in Jacksonville, Fla., is largely devoted to military contracts, notes Vice President-Sales/Marketing Jim Melvin. The company needed to expand its commercial operations and knew it would be under pricing pressure. "We looked globally, at Asia and elsewhere, but zeroed in on Mexico based on where commercial aerospace is heading," he says. “We weren't looking to take work out of Jacksonville. Our strategy was to put in the [Chihuahua] facility and then go after work."

These aerospace companies see low labor costs, virtually no regulatory obstacles - out of the reach of the US Gov - few if any employee lawsuits, and are close proximity to the US.
