America won’t be repeating that historic one small step anytime soon -- not according to NASA chief Charlie Bolden, anyway.
“NASA is not going to the Moon with a human as a primary project probably in my lifetime,” Bolden told a joint meeting of the Space Studies Board and the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board in Washington last week, according to Jeff Foust of SpacePolitics.com. “And the reason is, we can only do so many things.”

Can’t say that I blame NASA for this. In the 40 years that have passed since humans last went there, I don’t think we’ve learned anything that lends any urgency to a return trip.
And the libs call Conservatives anti-science! The libs have all but killed science with NASA and the global warming hoax.
I can just imagine the Launch Pad Leader's final countdown:

They proved it could be done. Some geology was done.
From now on, going there has to make sense economically.
Sure I would pay to cruise around it, like Apollo 8.
If there was some kind of resort on the surface, 1/8 gravity might be fun.
But we have to wait until it's feasible, economically.

Where are the visionaries? The dreamers?
I grew up on Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Niven, Clark, on and on. Scientists who dared think about the endless possibilities of mankind pushing the bounds.
I remember NASA being just the coolest stuff a kid could dream about. Walking on the moon! Chemistry sets. Science was the essence of man, based in fact, observation and math, not popularity. (When someone says “the science is settled” turn and run for the exit.)
This is pathetic. It is a failure of the bureaucratic machine. We need entrepreneurs more than ever to pick up the slack and carry forward the dreams.

Apparently when we asked the Russians to take us back to the moon they said no ........

The Zeros would never let that happen. Anything that discredits the communists will be wiped from history or declared a fairy tale through brainwashing.
NASA is too busy reaching out to Muslims. They “can only do so many things.”
