Hi, I’m Sarah Crank. Today’s my 14th birthday, and it would be the best birthday present ever if you would vote “no” on gay marriage. I really feel bad for the kids who have two parents of the same gender. Even though some kids think it’s fine, they have no idea what kind of wonderful experiences they miss out on. I don’t want more kids to get confused about what’s right and okay. I really don’t want to grow up in a world where marriage isn’t such a special thing anymore.
It’s rather scary to think that when I grow up the legislature or the court can change the definition of any word they want. If they could change the definition of marriage then they could change the definition of any word. People have the choice to be gay, but I don’t want to be affected by their choice. People say that they were born that way, but I’ve met really nice adults who did change. So please vote “no” on gay marriage. Thank you.
TFP Student Action, a Roman Catholic organization, recorded some of the threats on the YouTube video of Sarah’s speech went viral on homosexual websites. Some of them read:
If I ever see this girl, I will kill her. That’s a promise.

The father of the 11 year-old is quoted in the same article that "we haven't had any physical threats" and the second child is FOURTEEN, not 11. Only one 11 year-old is mentioned in the piece so the Brietbart editor is trolling and engaging in Leftist-style propaganda.
I can't overlook the irony of screeching about higher standards, morality and so forth while using base techniques and subterfuge we supposedly abhor in the other side.
As for the 11 year old's testimony I actually agree with this general sentiment quoted: " this is gross and offensive, and not just to gay people. single mothers, widowers, divorced parents... i mean, just shut the **** up until you until you've seen a little more of the world, puppet child.”
That's PRECISELY what she is, a puppet child and I despise the use of children as props when the Left or the Right do it. We all see the children paraded by union thugs at strikes or even protesting in favor of abortion. She's saying my father was nothing because he lost both parents at a young age or my uncle is less of a man because his mother was widowed. Well, little miss know-it-all, who is going to swoop in and force all those children into two heterosexual parent situations for their own good? The State?
The 11 year-old is not offering testimony on relevant first-hand experience. She's not a product of an upbringing in one of those "same sex households. She's a prop. Shame on her father Jeff Evans for exploiting her in this manner.
As for the 14 year-old, she clearly has no idea how far traditional marriage is from "such a special thing" any more. Even before she was born, traditional marriage had become a throw away institution with some 40% of children coming from divorced heterosexual parents. As a People we don't even raise an eyebrow at the Baby Mamma / Baby Daddy culture of our cities.
She's living in the make-believe fantasy world of a child and NOT reality. As such, her naivete has no relevance to the problems of the real world and it's the job of government to act and react to real world.
She too is just another prop exploited by adults who didn't stand against the erosion of the cultural value of marriage during the last few decades and are now aghast when some others want IN instead of, as heterosexuals have done en masse, getting or staying OUT of marriage.
Don't use children in this manner even for what you see as a just cause. If we're going to demand better of our opposition, the ends must not be allowed to justify the means.
I look at some of the arguments tossed out and it's like your house burned down but you won't let somebody help you rebuild because you don't like the car they drive.
That would work fine for something like a legislative hearing, where the parents can represent the family - which is what you were objecting to.
Would you tell them to refrain from commenting about the issue in the contexts it comes up in for them - stuff like classrooms, Facebook, etc, where their identity is known?
Is it the wideness of the audience and public access to the comments, the lack of anonymity, or something else that bothers you about this girl testifying?
God doesn't need to think about it. He knows all, sees all that was and will be for all time. If we accept the reset button on humanity after The Flood and, arguably, again with Christ's Resurrection to happen for the last time with the Second Coming... what are we talking about here?
You certainly have the right to teach your kids anything you want.
I work with a bunch of retired military Christian conservatives, and no one goes around talking about gays and same-sex marriages.
As you said, God knows what will be. Why would He wipe out people that He knows are going to do stuff that will just require His wiping them out again?

What gets me is that they dare get offended so often when they as a group tolerate and even justify this kind of offensive behavior. I know that both sides can get offensive but in my experience only one side typically gets browbeaten for it. I mean they have to trump up allegations of racism and extremism at tea party events but they never do an expose on left wing protests where the burn soldiers in effigy and or at pride events that have floats with some of the most obscene stuff on them riding down the street in front of kids. No they have their primary targets, its Christians and conservatives.

I didn’t make up the headline but that is really just splitting hairs. I mean would the headline “threats against children have been better” or “threats against an 11 year old and a 14 year old’? The question is do you think its ok to lob death threats or threats of rape against children for expressing support for children being raised by both a Mom and Dad in a heterosexual relationship rather than having two Mom’s and Donor or Two Dad’s a surrogate Mom etc.

I think the fact that you are so enraged isn’t because of the headline but because this exposes the essential threat to liberty of the progressive sex movement of which gay rights and same sex marriage is a part. Hell everyone can offend traditional families and Christians and conservatives all day long but let a homosexual be offended and its like one has committed a cardinal sin which can only be resolved by a public pillorying. It is funny to see sexual radicals who routinely present themselves in the most offensive and obscene fashion in the streets in front of children playing the victim of offense.

What reality are you referring to -is it an objective reality? Is it a reality best defined by the parents of the child or is it one vest defined by YOU?
Is this reality a sex positive reality that provides not only a sexual education but as well sexual training, free contraceptives and abortions with no need for parental consent? Where is the brave new world, this utopian vision of REALITY that you advocate?
