What is it with these moonbats who want to raise the taxes on everybody else but wouldn’t personally pay a nickel to see a volcano?
Whatever happened to the old saying, charity begins at home?
This morning’s Exhibit A comes from U.S. Sen. Elizabeth “Granny” Warren, the fake Indian. You may recall her childhood on the “jagged edge of the middle class.”
Now she’s crying the buckets again, sending out what appears to be a fundraising email about her hero Obama’s alleged cuts in Social Security.
Last year she threw most of her family under the bus during the Senate campaign against Scott Brown. (Remember how her racist grandparents forced her parents to “elope,” after which they returned home that evening for a reception?)
Now it’s her brother David’s turn to take a bullet for the team, the Cleveland Indians, or maybe the Atlanta Braves, or the Washington Redskins.
“Today my brother lives on his Social Security,” she says. “That’s about $1,100 a month, $13,200 a year.”
You can almost hear Granny dropping her voice to deliver some bad news. Somebody cue the violins.
“I can almost guarantee that you know someone — a family member, friend or neighbor — who counts on Social Security checks to get by,” she hyperventilates. “We cannot allow it (Social Security) to be dismantled inch by inch.”
Hey Granny, did it ever occur to you that maybe you could just … do the right thing by brother Dave? You’re worth well over $10 million, according to your financial disclosure statements. I know, you don’t own any stocks — “just mutual funds,” as you explained to a Kool-Aid drinker on MSNBC last year. If you don’t have it already, you’ll soon be cashing a big book-advance check for your new tome, “Faked,” I mean, “Rigged.”
By your own account, you provided the “intellectual foundations” for the now-almost-forgotten Occupy Wall Street movement. Those smelly hippies were opposed to “greed,” remember? Granny, isn’t it greedy for you not to pay your “fair share” for brother Dave? Think of it as an “investment in the future.” It’s not money, it’s just “revenues.”
Why don’t you just call Dave down in the Indian Territory and tell him, no problem bro, you can just move to my mansion in Cambridge and crash there until we get rid of this evil Republican president — er, never mind.
But this is the moonbat m.o. She wants to raise your taxes, not hers. She’ll give you the shirt off your back. Same thing with her ex-pal Obama. What about his brother George, living in a box in Nairobi? If Obama sent him a double-sawbuck, he’d double his annual income. But like Granny, Obama throws around quarters like manhole covers. He let Massachusetts taxpayers support his beloved Auntie Zeituni while she was here illegally, not working, collecting welfare.
btw "zombie radio" update (Entercom WEEI/WRKO etc.) is that last night longtime host Pete Sheppard of WEEI quit--right on the air (nobody seems to have audio; a friend did hear it but didn't record). WEEI has been stumbling and, like RKO, is subject to layoffs and salary reductions. After they canned Glenn Ordway they told Red Sox pregame/postgame/fill in John Rish he'd have to take a 30 per cent pay cut. He told them to screw--resigned. On Fri. company CEO David Field (his dad founded Entercom) had a morale-boosting meeting at the sneaker building HQ in Brighton and now Sheppard wound up resigning, right on the air...he doesn't blame prog dir Jason Wolfe, instead the bigwigs. Since many have compared WEEI and WRKO to a sinking ship I thought of that line from Creedence's "Up Around the Bend": "Come away come away if you're going, leave the sinking ship behind."--raccoonradio

For once, Gov. Deval Patrick was right about something. Back in 2011, he promised that the illegal immigrant from Ecuador accused of running over and killing an American citizen in Milford would have “the book” thrown at him.

How correct Deval was — politically correct. Nicholas Dutan Guaman is having a book thrown at him all right — a comic book.
Guaman can’t be tried, at least not right now — wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
This man, the judge says, has a “unique cultural and linguistic background.” Despite living here since 2002, Guaman claims he’s illiterate, can’t speak English and can barely speak Spanish. His native tongue is an Indian dialect known as Quecha.
The judge is a Deval appointee named Janet Kenton-Walker. Last week she ordered Guaman’s court-appointed lawyer to spend yet more taxpayer money to hire a Quecha interpreter because Guaman has “no understanding of the legal system.”
Odd, because he was arrested in 2008 on charges of assault and battery on a police officer and breaking and entering, and somehow those cases went away. Ditto, the customary driving-without-a-license charges.
I guess the foreman on Guaman’s construction jobs spoke Quecha. Ditto, the guy who sold him his “false papers,” as the judge puts it. Another apparent Quecha speaker was the clerk at the package store where he purchased the “numerous beer cans” the cops say they found in his brother’s truck the day Guaman allegedly ran over and killed Matthew Denice, a 23-year-old graduate of Framingham State who was riding his motorcycle.
The charges include second-degree murder because, after Guaman allegedly hit the motorcycle and pinned Denice under his truck, he kept driving for a quarter-mile, according to police. The cops say he didn’t stop, even though Denice was screaming and pedestrian passersby were pounding on the window of the truck’s cab, yelling at him — in English. If only they’d taken the trouble to learn Quecha. … Finally, according to police, Guaman drove up on a sidewalk, then backed up over Denice, killing him.
Told by the police that he’d killed someone, Guaman “shrugged,” cops say.
Most of this is from Milford police reports, because the judge mentioned only the barest details of this atrocious crime. She seems to think the real victim here is the illegal immigrant.
The judge writes that Guaman grew up “poor.” When he married, his family was “extremely poor and they lived in a tent made of plastic sheeting.”
Let’s get back to Deval.
Deval issued a statement on Guaman after days of stories in all the newspapers. You can listen to his comments (and read the judge’s decision) at boston herald.com.
“You know,” he says, “illegal immigration didn’t kill …” he pauses here, trying to recall Matthew’s name before finally giving up “… this person. A drunk driver killed this person and uh, um, we have laws about this and I expect the book to be thrown at this person. He deserves it.”
The judge scheduled the next hearing in 60 days. How much do you want to bet Guaman’s trial will be continued again … and again … and again?
If I ever get jammed up, I ask for no special treatment. Just treat me like … this person.

Kuhner is on WRKO 6-9 am and 11 am-noon. You can hear him via TuneIn or WRKO site. This was a special show and it was said reg Howie affiliates could run it if they wanted. Avi Nelson did 9-mid. and also will do 12-3 p today on RKO only
