In the 1989 Last Crusade movie, Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford was on the quest for the grail - and he was in competition with the Nazis.

Now truth turns out to be stranger than fiction in the exhibition 'Dig for Germania. Archaeology under the Swastika' in Bremen. It tells how S.S. chief Heinrich Himmler allegedly visited Spain during the war because he believed the grail was at the Montserrat Abbey near Barcelona.

The chief architect and manager of the Nazi Holocaust believed that finding the grail 'would help Germany win the war and give him supernatural powers.'

Squads of S.S. men searched in vain for the grail. The S.S. budget for such projects was vast as the Nazis intended their finds to rewrite history to prove Germans were the greatest race in all history.'

No criticism of you, but he was the central figure in the development of Hitler re the underlying philosophy of the Nazis as a charismatic controller of the masses. Conventional historians minimize or overlook his pivotal role in the transformation of Hitler from penniless schlub to rock star because their bias against the occult makes it impossible for them to consider it, so it is ignored and erased from history.

Thanks the scotsman. Contrary to some of the comments above, Hitler, and Himmler's SS, were not atheists, they were cultists with their own peculiar ceremonies, analogous to the oddball stuff dreamed up by various other organizations over the past few hundred years. Hitler is said to have brushed off an observation that (for example) Earth couldn't be both concave (IOW, the surface of the Earth is actually the inside of a sphere, all evidence to the contrary being illusions) and be subject to the Eternal Ice disasters; he said that Nazi ideology didn't have to be "coherent", which means he understood exactly what he was doing. Getting people to not only remain silent in the face of absurd claims (global warming for a more recent example) IOW propaganda, but to actually verbalize the absurdities, is an act of degradation intended to impose control.
