Wash Post ^ | 24 March 2013 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 03/24/2013 12:39:26 PM PDT by white trash redneck

Last week former Mitt Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades and two young Republican sharpshooters, Tim Miller and Joe Pounder, announced they would set up a new organization, America Rising, devoted to the collection, dissemination and deployment of opposition research against Democrats and a counterpart to the hugely successful American Bridge on the left.

A day late and a dollar short to stop the Zero, but let's hope the GOP has finally learned that it makes no sense to stick to Queensberry Rules when your opponent is trying to kill you.

They still won’t use it. This is part of the whole Mormon schtick ~ say nothing you can’t smile about. It’s a lifelong habit with that guy ~ not likely he’s going to change.

Pounder was Director of Rapid Response for Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential primary campaign and later served in the same capacity for Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.

If he’s Mormon, too, then I have grave issues with that. It never did get adequately explained why a ‘church’ with a well publicized set of clean living morals had a high muckety muck who went in so easily for “gay marriage.” I could see a mea culpa on Mitt’s part, but that issue never got delved into. If bishop Mitt could get compromised from the claimed set of Mormon morals that easy, then what Mormon could you trust to not do otherwise? At least not without extensive delving into his or her background?

Isn’t Jennifer Rubin the one that was so over-the-top gaga for Mitt Romney, and wrote screeching-banshee type attacks on anyone that dared to criticize him or the GOP beltway establishment?

Gee, I'd be proud of those "accomplishments". /s

Count me in. Our database will be at their disposal, and this thing is in some respects as nifty as some CIA tools. The difficult thing is processing the incoming data, we probably have half a million *sites* that need a verification and analysis walkthrough.

I sure hoppe they don’t go for the “hear no evil, see no evil” stuff with this project. This one has to have fangs, or it’s no use. Maybe someone else will do it for real.

Matt Rhoades, really?

The Romney campaign was full of vultures who cared more about their fees than saving the country from economic catastrophe.

They should be blacklisted from any political campaign above the municipal level.

Instead the elites reward failure.

The problem the GOP citizenry and some pols has/had is overly trying to do the right thing (part of the definition of conservative) opposed to the dems willing to do what was necesary to win and retain power.

Note I said “some” as it sure seems many of the GOPe are happy to see conservative grassroots get the mushroom treatment so not boat rocking gain momentum.

Now, do we want to continue doing the right thing and let America fade away or fight back meaner than the dems?

Failed Mitt Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades

Dear boy, you have missed a central point of GOP Campaign Strategy. Stick with the losers that you know. It would certainly not do to have a bunch of strangers come in and FU this wonderful free lunch we have managed for ourselves. Our seats are safe, our place at the table is secure, our friends across the aisle will take good care of us; they always have.

Give a Billion to Rove. He's reliable. No surprises.

Another Old-Fashioned please, Leroy.

Matt Rhoades is a one trick pony. His only claim to fame was that he was once BFF with Matt Drudge, who would run negative stories planted by Rhoades on the Drudge Report.

Rhoades also took time off in the thick of the Romney campaign to get married to a Chris Christie operative! His big wedding was right before the RNC!

He really should refund all the money he took as Romney’s campaign manager for doing such a terrible job.
