This is a prayer thread for Mesta. I've been on the phone with her for hours today/yesterday (my sense of time is getting a little frassled), and we need a great amount of prayer.
Mesta went down hard a few days ago, I was on the phone when it happened and I heard her hit the floor and scream, then a bunch of running, slamming doors and chaos before the line went dead.
It was a couple of days before I was able to get her status and got my proper links to her hospital, and it doesn't look good. If she survives this time, she's going home to a cold house, at the edge of eviction, dragging an oxygen tank. She has a sort of a seal-team medical coverage, but no pension whatsoever. As for now, they're still doing tests, there's a team of doctors working on her and she's in and out of consciousness much of the time.

Just tried Mesta’s homephone, and she’s home! Sounds a little sleepy, but we’ll see. Now to find out how things *really* are, her hospital phone was a shout-and-listen-very-hard contraption ;).

Every day was a challenge and it will probably stay that way for some time to come. Bur I guess G-d wasn’t ready to take me home yet. The part about having the courage to change the things I can was right there front and center because I knew G-d was with me and you were with me. You will never ever know what this means to me. I can never ever thank you all enough if I live to be a hundred years old.
I know you are wondering what happened and as soon as I am up to it, I will explain it all.
Right now, Hardraade just woke me from a sound sleep and I am kind of foggy. Trying to spellcheck as I go, but slow, slow, slow.
Look for some of the greatest nurses in the world to be showing up here. Everyone I talked to khows about my worldwide family at Free Republic!

I am getting all mushy and talking too much, I think. The drugs, (of which there are many,) are really kicking. So I will say Goodnight, or Good morning and thank you for everything.

Am not the one to tell anyone what to do. I request though, Mesta, only what have asked in speaking with you this A.M. You are important to so many of us. Please do not overexert. Take care of yourself. We are going to need you to be on FReep-patrol and want you on FReep-patrol for decades to come. I believe you will do what is best for you. You better, America needs you!
