DHS questioned over decision to let Saudi passengers skip normal passport controls
FOX NEWS ^ | 03/20/13 | FOX

A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give "trusted traveler" status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday on the under-the-radar announcement -- which was first made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking people for entry into the United States.

Do you honestly believe that banning pocket knives had any effect whatsoever on passenger safety?

I think the jury's out on that one, considering the numbers of nutcase episodes that have occurred mid-air in recent years. Probably not a threat to the flying crew, but to other passengers, possibly.

Just because 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11/01 were Saudi Arabian doesn’t mean we should be suspicious of Saudis.

Treating them like dangerous US military vets or Christian Bitter Clingers might hurt their feelings.

Colorado's Top Prison Official Was Shot Dead When He Answered His Front Door

... While Clements generally kept a low profile, his killing comes a week after Clements denied a Saudi national prisoner's request to be sent to his home country to serve out his sentence. Homaidan al-Turki was convicted of sexually assaulting a housekeeper and keeping her as a virtual slave.

Considering the reciprocity of US citizens being able to bypass SA customs, my first thought was that some powerful lobby pushed for this, and the admin caved. Probably a big donor.

They have done it there but you’re right, they were hunted down and executed in public.

Sadly, US citizens have come to accept the gratuitous police state of DHS. A victory for UBL.

“...Why do our “leaders” hate Free America so completely?...”

Have you never heard of communism??? They despise freedom, our constitution and our total way of life. The only good ones are the ones long breathing air. They’ve been 40 years planning the overthrow of our country. Their deceit is disgusting. They wrap themselves in our flag yet do everything they can to bring us down.
They’re not in prison because they now run the prisons.

Of all the places we should triple-question every entrant, it's Saudi. Al Qaeda is funded, staffed, led, given it's ideology, etc. from Saudi Arabia. Al Qaeda is indistinguishable from a plausible-deniability-strike-force of the Saudi King.

And the fact is we went into Iraq at the behest of the Saudis, since they were concerned Saddam was going to go after their oil fields.

The Left still says that Afghanistan attacked us on 9-11, that Iraq was the wrong was but Afghan is the right one. Saudi hijackers and Bin Laden was hidden by the Pakistanis.

Liberalism is a mental disorder and Barack Obama is decidedly pro-Islamist in his foreign policies.

Janet Napolitano just LOVES to F*** with our minds.. She's doing this on purpose; Treating Americans like terrorists while coddling Muslims.

Janet is like a cat that plays with a mouse before it kills it. We are the mouse. Her CONTEMPT for America is just as strong as 0bama's and Holder's, and due to her CONTEMPT FOR AMERICA she toys with us at every turn.

Obama is a muslim, John Brennan is a muslim,

Yep, and they're draining the U.S's financial resources to build a muslim caliphate in the ME while depleting the American military.
Why? Because as long as America is strong, the caliphate can't attack Israel. The "restrainer" has to be taken out of the way first. So, why not destroy the economy, deplete the military, allow Saudis with knives on American planes?

Not only that, but why is HLS buying up all that ammo and military equipment? Could it be they've been quietly shipping it to the ME? They've been fighting there forever, so where are those "activists" getting all those bullets? Would that explain the attack in Benghazi, and why there's a massive cover up? Was the ammo etc. being shipped through there?

I wouldn't know, because I've refused to fly for years, but can you order a bottle of beer, or do all drinks have to be in cans/plastic?

Regardless, a resourceful individual can turn just about anything into a weapon.

I'd much rather see everyone on the plane armed than a muslim terrorist while the law-abiding are disarmed.

If this were really a free country, I'd be able to start "ATF Airlines". When you get on board, everyone is handed a pack of smokes, and their choice of either a bottle an adult beverage or a firearm.

It would be the safest and happiest airline in the skys.

Anyone who thinks you can hijack an airplane post 9/11/01 is dreaming or smoking the good stuff. On the first two planes that crashed into the WTC buildings, the passengers did exactly what was standing procedure for hijackings at the time, which was to cooperate and submit to the hijackers.  Once it was clear that the consequences of cooperation was somewhat more dire than a side trip to Cuba, the passengers on the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania mobilized themselves into a local militia, and put an end to the terrorist's  plans. A similar fate would await any other islamicist that tried to take over a plane.

Every single thing done in the wake of 9/11 with the exception of reinforcing the cockpit doors has been nothing less than an attempt to force the people of America to become meek sheeple submitting to the almighty power of Fedgov.

Why the hell isn't it standard policy to have armed attendants, if they are so worried?

Welcome this is your captain. We have an interesting flight for you today. Take a look at that building directly in front of you and the airplane. Oh, and alley is acting in the bar. Have a Great Day and thank you!
