Several children saw the shooting, which occurred at West Coast Armorys indoor range at 13216 S.E. 32nd St. in Bellevue [metro Seattle].
According to the business website, the gun range offered an entry-level handgun course the day of the shooting.
Participants paid $75 for three hours of instruction meant to teach students how to load and use pistols and revolvers.

Well, at least the kids will know what a gun will do to you from first-hand experience.

Very sad... what’s also sad is the gun-grabbing liberals are going to have a field day with it.

Kind of reminiscent of the ‘cartoon’ with the ‘instructor’ for a team of prospective Suicide Bombers:
While standing there, with a back pack on and sticks of dynamite showing, he is holding the detonator device and says:
“Now Pay Attention!
I am only going to show you this once”.
The shooter in this case sure went out of his way to ‘prove a point’ and, like the one poster says, at least the kids could see up front what happens when you ‘point and pull’.

Yep - and will no doubt cause huge problems for one of the few decent indoor ranges in the area.

The man is 50 year old Brian Perry.
There is one Brian Perry in Bellvue, WA who is an interior/exterior painter.

This is the first one of these I’ve heard of in front of a class, but there’s been enough at ranges that rent guns, that many won’t rent to someone alone, they have to be with another person.

“What is with people these days? It almost is seeming like they are acting like some kind of mindless zombies offing others then themselves. No explanation.”
Many drug company commercials list “thoughts of suicide” as a side effect.
Think they’d sell product or stock if they listed side effects as “thoughts of ‘murder and’ suicide”?

Don’t know.
I’m looking for the possibility that this man was some kind of gun grabbing nut who was trying to make a point.
Or maybe he was just disturbed (I know, same thing)

I would be willing to bet that he used a Range Rental Gun. If you would have had access to a gun, I think he might have committed this cowardly act prior to his training class. Probably in front of a crowd also. Would be interesting to know. I know that some employee’s of indoor ranges that are basically unsupervised get a little nervous when a questionable person with apparently NO or very little knowledge of what gun (caliber - ammo - eyes and ears) they want to rent for their paper poking. Also, I have been told by these peeps that along with these attributes, they really work up a sweat when this type of gun renter says that a;though he doesn’t own a gun, he brought his own target.

I was thinking he was both. Very similar to these mass shooting killers. They're suicidal and then they get a brilliant idea of how to make it a big statement. The only thing it proves is that sick people make sick decisions.

Have never had any sympathy for someone to off themselves, much less force others to witness it.
Don't care what their circumstance was, they were petty selfish asses who abused those who cared for them for the rest of their lives.
As Ken Hamlin used to do the toilet flush audio when a scumbag was executed, Good riddance.

To: X-spurt
I couldn’t agree more with you!
My late wife battled mightily for 11 years to beat back the tumors that would grow around her brain stem. The doctors would operate, radiate and 18 months later we did the whole routine again. Each operation did more collateral damage so her quality of life towards the end really sucked.
Then you have asshats like this guy that off’s himself in front of people. No sympathy, none, zero, nada.
