Coburn’s really been a disappointment since he left hte House to be a senator.
I still see old programs with him talking about how he wasn’t going to be in government forever, when he was a representative.
He changed his mind obviously and since then has shifted more and more leftward. Very disappointing.
Coburn used to be reliable....sad to see....
They just have no desire to reframe issues and fight for them.
they are co-conspirators. They bitch they can’t do anything but secretly want the changes, because they somehow think they’ll be able to use them when they have the white house and/or senate.
They just want to rule. They don’t care about the Constitution one tiny bit. THe leadership RINOs of the GOP, I mean.
Just gun control? It looks like they’re ready to cave on amnesty and everything else too.

To be law abiding no longer means what it used to.
From my stand point abiding illegal laws makes one a criminal.

I suppose what I say next is common knowledge by my Freeper FRiends. I have posted this before:
The best background check will never prevent the straw man gun transaction. Let’s say I’m a drug pushing gang banger. I have numerous arrests and would never pass a background check. I need a powerful semi-automatic to take out competitors moving into my drug market. I tell one of my crack customers that I will give them a good deal on crack if they buy the gun I need for me. They will pass the background check.
Insider politicians and insider lobby groups like the NRA and National Right To Life play the emotional strings with wedge issues (ala Karl Rove) but don’t ultimately defend the right to life or the Second Amendment.
They wheel and deal in the middle of the issue and keep you emotionally charged up so you keep sending the donations in.
When election time comes the NRA and NRL publish voter guides and endorse business as usual politicians on the basis of their emotional wedge issue votes.
Like sheep we have supported the business as usual politicians while our country has sunk deeper in the financial quagmire.
If we keep electing the RINO’S (OVER 90 percent of currently serving GOP members of Congress) there will be no real solution and the debt bubble will burst.
The only no-compromise gun lobby in DC...
