When the U.S. Senate this week takes up the continuing resolution to fund the federal government for the remainder of fiscal year 2013, Sen. Ted Cruz (R.-Texas) will offer an amendment that will prohibit funding for the implementation of Obamacare during that period.

“I believe we will have a vote on this amendment and I have said I am willing to employ any procedural means necessary to ensure that we do get a vote on the amendment,” Cruz told reporters today.

So, apparently Cruz is a Senator of Texas, and not some podunk state. ;)

Ted Cruz is terrific!

I almost hope bitter, old, crazy McCain comes out against Cruz like he did to Sen. Rand Paul. I want to see the old guard crumble like a termite infested building.

McCain, Graham, and the other Senators who attended that serpents dinner with the Tyrant who currently occupies the Oval Office should be recalled. Time for the GOPe and RINOs to go extinct. (Dear Ms. Napolitano, by “extinct” I simply meant recalled, voted out of office, or retired. No need to send a drone over my home).

McStupid will blow his top. Maybe he’ll ignite and we’ll witness the mystery of spontaneous human combustion right on the Senate floor.

Be still my heart. The guy is a star. He told Laura Ingraham he was willing to risk a government shutdown to stop Obamacare. Good luck getting the rest of the GOP to stand with you.

I am willing to employ any procedural means necessary

That is really a good plan.

Obama is a sociopath and the only way to deal with such a person is to know that he will never, ever divert from his chosen path. So, the only way to deal with him is the very same way a police force and legal system does in thwarting a sociopath's actions by an arrest, conviction and prison time.

The best plan is to act as a boulder in front of his plans. By doing so you make it really difficult for him to proceed.

A legal system and police force can work to place the individual in jail and try them for their crimes. But this is Obama, someone who has successfully surrounded himself with like-minded people and has used everything he can to thwart the legal process.

So, Cruz is planning the correct thing by standing in his way, making it hard for him to proceed.

Obama is like a hellbent rock careening down a mountain path greased with progressives.

A nice huge boulder in his way is a good thing, because the time he spends trying to get around it is less time he has to do the us harm.

Remember Cruz and all of the Republicans in your daily prayers.

The liberals in Texas are going nuts over Cruz. The letters to the editor of the Dallas Morning News are full of their rantings which they gladly publish.

I hope he puts as many holds on prospective Obama appointees as possible and doesn’t lift them for the rest of Obama’s term.

There appears to be a NEW MAVERICK in town. The old one has gone lame. Time to turn McCain out to pasture.

We need a logo for the revolution.

We have one—really several—a rattlesnake flag, a continental soldier, a Musket, The Bonnie Blue Flag.

Remember the Alamo! A few good men, dedicated to a cause, can change the world. A new sort of Republican is needed—but it does my heart good to see men like Rand, Lee, and Cruz stepping up to the plate. There is hope. They better watch out—our foes will stop at nothing to be rid of them—scandal, lies, fear, and perhaps even assassination! (Bretbarts death seems a bit too convenient for me).
