Line to get into gun show over a mile long. I believe it consists of ticket holders as well as non-ticket holders.

Mark tried to get a ticket, however he stated the website crashed!

There’s a liquor store not far from our house that conspicuously displays one of those shooting targets with the dark human profile — with numerous puncture holes. To my knowledge they have never been robbed. And most people seem very comfortable shopping there.

That would certainly be a store I would shop at.

I’m going to the gun show in Orlando next weekend. However, I won’t be standing in line I’ll be walking in front of the folks standing in line selling them ammo and magazines :-)

Something like this?

That's 300 rounds with a Sten at about 7 yards. It was fun!

At my range, anything vaguely humanoid shaped is forbidden.

Meanwhile the DHS trains on these.

No wonder citizens are arming up in record numbers.

That’s pretty much what it looks like, except I think there’s a few head shots just for good measure, to convince any “doubters”. LOL

More stores should have similar displays IMO.

I remember seeing similar paper targets with drawn subjects on it. You could cut and paste on the hands various weapons or utensils like cameras and such to check a shooter’s reactions.

I think somebody needs to print up some DHS targets....I’d buy them and use them. My range doesn’t care.

I hope the Gun Show is at the Race Track!

Think I'll use the same idea and print something up for posting on our motorhome door.
That old "protected by Smith & Wesson" sign is really faded.

The larger the holes, the better the intimidation effect. LOL

If you think about it, a would be robber would really have to be brazen to think they could hit a place that’s obviously armed and just waiting to show these thugs some real fire power. The visuals send a strong message! LOL

Criminals are cowards and are always going to take the path of least resistance. They’ll hit the next store down the street instead.

Holy smokes (literally!)

Just read a reply up-thread that made me google a few things. Essentially, Del Mar is a smoke-free city. Designated smoking areas are banned. Smoking anywhere where there’s a sidewalk is banned. Smoking on a street, adjacent to a sidewalk is banned. Smoking on the property of any public facility is banned. The only place you can smoke is in your own private residence, or a private office that has no employees and doesn’t admit any members of the public (what kind of office is that, I wonder?)

I guess you could get your medical marijuana prescription there and sit on the beach and smoke a joint though. Sheesh.

"Good Lord, and there’s NO SMOKING within the City of Del Mar."

Are you freakin kidding me??? Sorry, if I were there, as a law abiding citizen, I would HAVE to break that one.

When they 1st past the "non-smoking" laws in bars I would just light up and ignore them. It was always some sniveling idiot that would complain. The owners, who knew me would just come up to me, with their glass of water and give me the look.

Of course I tried to argue, to no avail, and would take a few more puffs before I put my butt into their glass, lol.

They would have to repeat this an hour later, all night long, heeheee.
