Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an "assault weapon," he called it)which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.
Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at Diamondback Police Supply in Tucson, Arizona.
Various sources contacted Breitbart News once Kelly made the purchase, and after we began investigating the details surrounding the purchase, Kelly announced on his Facebook that he was not going to keep the AR-15, which he has yet to pick up from the store.

He’s become a very useful tool/fool. They’ve become the “Brady Anti-Gun Bunch II”, haven’t they?
Me too. The creepy stank just comes offa that guy. I've thought that from the very first time I saw him...before he started toting his wife around like "A Weekend at Bernie's."
Well, I DO hope you've COOLED OFF!!!! /sarcasm!!!!!!
Get THIS! Gramps and I were going to change ownership, just the paperwork mind you, on a handgun that had been in the house for many many many years. We had to literally take it to the dealer, leave it there for 10 days so I COULD COOL OFF....before it could be transferred.
We decided it was too stupid to do, so we left the thing in his name. It has yet to shoot anyone or anything.
As with yours...
This isn’t on Drudge yet so I worry it won’t get any legs.
Good point which needs frequent raising: we’re talking about HUNDRED YEAR OLD TECHNOLOGY here.
We are living in the Bizarro World you know.
You can go buy a Two Ton Vehicle with nothing down, drive it off the Lot and run over a Crosswalk full of Cub Scouts, but you have to wait ten days to pickup a .22 Plinker that you already paid for.
Straw purchaser for the Tucson PD?
Nothing new about it. In fact semi-auto technology predates the Colt 1911 by enough years to make it 19th Century technology.
He has the right to buy this weapon—I will defend his right to do so. Maybe he has seen the light about guns. I hope so.
It is good to see a good gun in the hands of a good guy.
Nice shot VeniVidiVici!
Breitbart’s got it; maybe Drudge will pick-it-up? Or is it the other way around?
A lot of firearm forums are also carrying it, but that doesn’t mean anything, anymore.
Wow, first time I was up early for DST chores at 1:55am, and suddenly it was 3:05am. Where’d that hour go, anyway? LOL. Gonna be a long(er) day...
Well then, it's good for him his organization isn't crusading against child porn. That was the defense offered by Pete Townsend.
Abortion kills more than any other method I know of, 5,000 a day. Democrats love the laws that cause the deaths of many gang bangers like in Chicago and New York. I would therefore surmise that Democrats are the most dangerous thing in our country.
These vermin are not against guns; they are against YOUR guns.
There’s more, I just need to find them.
If I were the store owner I would deny him ownership of both guns based on the fact that he is unbalanced and a liberal. But I repeat myself.
“Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. “
He thinks there is something in his background that would make him ineligible to buy a Mouse Gun?
He is using his wife like Cod Pink used Cindy Sheean.
In the language of the folks who generally always surrender "Moi aussi".
Good look coming for or even finding mine.
I don’t intend to surrender anything. I don’t speak french either.
