Wow... what a profundity... I guess it comes as a shocker in her community that rape isn’t the right thing to do.

Once the word gets out, I’m sure that the occurrence of rapes will drop dramatically.

Well, we can only hope. In the meantime, I have a rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun, not to mention a number of knives and a sword.

I’m not an expert at any of them, but I can aim a gun and pull the trigger, and as for the knives and the sword, I am fairly certain that the pointy end is what sticks into the bad guy.

Interesting that you mention a sword.
I heard of a demonstration/study done with just average folks.
The defender would be given a “sword” which was covered in marker chalk, and the invader would have a marker pistol (paintball perhaps).

The defender would be familiar with the layout of the structure, and the invader would not. The defender would choose a hiding place and go there on “go”, which was the attacker entering the structure.

It was an extreme rarety where the sword wielding defender didn’t get the advantage on the invader.

Nnow that is interesting. And a sword never runs out of bullets, either.

Keep in mind that the scenario was a single burglar entering the home.
Once you’ve given up your surprise factor and given away your position, the advantage of the sword goes way down with an armed invader.

My gosh, did we miss the boat!

*slaps forehead*

If we had just told Hitler to stop murdering millions and invading neighboring countries and if we had invited Tojo to dialogue and not even think about attacking Pearl Harbor or China and the South West Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere!

Just think, we could have saved the lives of at least 40 million people including a half million of our own servicemen. All we needed was some earnest, sensible conversation!

Why didn't we think of that?

True. But often there is only one. sometimes they are unarmed. And thirdly, the others might be cowards (what are the odds, doyou think?) and flee when they encounter resistance.

Unless they are high on something, of course.

In any event, better to go down stabbing than just to go down.
