The Obama administration denied an appeal for flexibility in lessening the sequester’s effects, with an email this week appearing to show officials in Washington that because they already had promised the cuts would be devastating, they now have to follow through on that.
In the email sent Monday by Charles Brown, an official with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C., Mr. Brown asked “if there was any latitude” in how to spread the sequester cuts across the region to lessen the impacts on fish inspections.
He said he was discouraged by officials in Washington, who gave him this reply: “We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

Has limousines for ‘executives’ in the administration been replaced by taxi cabs? No? How about cutting travel privileges to just coach tickets? Maybe even a cap on the cost of hotel rooms to no more than a massive $100 per day?
No, none of this has happened, or is going to happen. Rather than cut extras that should never have been there in the first place (and the accompanying arrests and convictions for embezzlement), the administration intends to take it out on the workers and the public as much as possible.
What would they say if this was how a private company decided to cut costs against a union workforce? They’d be up in arms, and demand other cuts first. ‘Look at how the executives are holding fancy dinner parties multiple times a week while these line workers are being sent home without pay!’ they’d cry.
But instead, they raise their wine glasses, filled by a servant, the vintage one of the best available, the moment costing enough to pay for a federal worker to stay on the job that day, times however many were granted the privilege of attending.
Conferences in exotic locales, the people not only picking up the tab for that, but for everyone to travel there, for a car to drive around, for meals, for lodging, and maybe just a bit on the side to buy something for a special friend who has an hourly cost.
Rank - amusing sometimes to contemplate how many meanings that word has. An accumulation of honors for a military soldier. Power and privileges for a government employee. A horrible scent, typically emanating from corruption. Rank hath its privileges.

I agree. Its long past time that theses non-cuts be exposed as non-cuts, and their non-truth be likewise exposed as the lies they are.
Show the people who is really trying to harm them for political gain.

Such is a dirty little secrete that they probably won’t even admit to themselves in the ironic fear of the very evil they are thus caring out by their actions & unfair judgement.
Equality has in their mind been overlooked in favor of very real and measurable racism.
You know the Irony is if someone were to say assassinate Obama, and Joe Bidden were to take Obama’s place, after all the “Tearfully” deification and marterization of Obama was said & done. Joe Would get demonized for carrying out Obama’s polices.
Obama’s base has been trained from childhood to treat back people as a “special & uplifted” class of men. This is why Obama is above reproach & question.
