SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - North Korea vowed Tuesday to cancel the 1953 cease-fire that ended the Korean War, citing a U.S.-led push for punishing U.N. sanctions over its recent nuclear test and ongoing U.S.-South Korean joint military drills.
North Korea's Korean People's Army Supreme Command warned of stronger additional countermeasures in a statement that came amid reports that Washington and North Korean ally Beijing have approved a draft of punishing sanctions for a U.N. Security Council resolution responding to North Korea's Feb. 12 nuclear test. The draft is expected to be circulated at the U.N. this week.

his dad was Kim2 and he is Kim3, is he a Junior Junior?
Kim3 rhymes with kimchee so I use it
Long past time to cancel North Korea. It would be a great mercy to those starving millions to erase this tragic mistake located above the 38th parallel.
No drastic action will ever be taken as long as even a modicum of Obamamania infests this evil central socialist government.
Yeah...my bad, should be Jr’s junior I guess.
I don’t think that UN is in charge at all. He’s just the puppet being played by the DPRK’s military.
This is their rhetoric not his.I seriously wonder if he could even tie his own shoes.
That’s the same crap we’ve been hearing for the last fifty plus years that I’ve been alive.
I think your right, and it means we are about to pump them more millions of dollars and technology so they quiet down for a few months.
Kim Cubed
lol
Let’s arrange for him to marry Kim Kardashian; then, she would be Kim Kim.
Go for it. Please.

But if we just send Michael Jordan over there, all will be forgiven.
I have long thought the same thing.
I had the privilege of serving in a unit of the U.S. Army in 1961-62 in Seoul, Korea and saw first-hand how poverty can exist in that country. Granted, South Korea has gained vastly in its living standards since then, but North Korea has not and I can imagine what North Korea looks like. It looks like South Korea in 1961 but under despotism.
My sentiments exactly?
Exactly! not exactly?
At this point what would the disadvantage be of South Korea preemptively invading the North? If they attack first they might save themselves a few tens of thousands of civilian casualties by cutting short the bombardment of Seoul. It would also give them a head start to the northern border knowing full well they’re going to meet the Chinese before they get there.
No rational person wants to give the order to start a blood bath but how many people have died because we didn’t finish this little limited war with our “most favored nation” China sixty years ago?
China will eventually get with South Korea and mutually come up with a solution to the “North Korea Problem”....Both countries fear a massive influx of refugees streaming over their borders, so it is in both countries’ best interests to come up with a mutual solution. In turn, China will displace the US as South Korea’s main ally, which certainly would be a win for China, as well.
Both countries realize how bad it will be when the Kim regime collapses and that house of horrors is opened up. No one wants to foot the bill to begin rebuilding NK. So everyone sits and watches; occasionally throwing some aid into the abyss to keep it going a little longer ...
In the back of my mind, I wonder if deep down Kim Jong-Eun wants to transform North Korea, but he knows he can’t do it all at once, but a little bit at a time.
I could be wrong, but I sense that he isn’t as nutty as his father and grandfather. But at the same time, he just can’t change things overnight. It might take 5-10 years before he’s finally in a position to do anything significant.
MacArthur was correct, we need to use the Atom Bomb to end the Korean War. Fuel up some B-2 bombers & arm them for a take off on the next Moonless night over N. Korea.
