But The Bible as well as the movie did say Isaac would be the one through which GOD's Covenant would be fullfilled through Sarah. Abraham went on after Isaac and had several more sons. Genesis 25 explains

Some people here will probably criticize the New Testament episodes for not using real nails during the Crucifixion scene.
I’m taping this and will watch it tomorrow; it’s on, but I’ve been distracted with work and other obligations.
All I know (as a huge “Touched by an Angel” fan) is Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett are faithful Christians, and given that they are involved, I think it will be excellent.
They can’t fit in everything in the Bible into a mini-series. I think it will be inspiring and quite moving.
Just as Mel Gibson’s movie was. When I saw it, I cried—and met elderly people who had seen it over and over. I bought it and watch it every Easter season. My son (17) is probably old enough to watch it, though I would never have my 13 year-old daughter do so.
It seems no one can make anything religious-oriented without being criticized.

It is an Introduction of the The Bible and some of its stories.
All of the crap we see on television...we get an 5 show 10 hour special and all we do is complain.
There will be souls that are touched with this show and they will read the Bible and by God’s Grace, convert and change their life due to Jesus.
It’s an Introduction in 10 hours. Be reasonable.
My DVR says it has 6 repeats on either History or Lifetime over the next week.

I agree... overall my husband and I liked it. I hope it touches lots of young people, and gets them interested to learn more...
I couldn’t stay interested. All of the actors over-acted.
And there was simply two much stuff left out. For instance, didn’t Abraham “know” his two daughters? He was drunk, but still.....

It is an extremely well done production. Very professional and excellent scenery although they are skipping a bunch, there is on way to cover it all.
