The Justice Department’s argument on the superfluity of motherhood is presented in a brief the Obama administration filed in the case of Hollingsworth v. Perry, which challenges the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that amended California’s Constitution to say that marriage involves only one man and one woman.
The Justice Department presented its conclusions about parenthood in rebutting an argument made by proponents of Proposition 8 that the traditional two-parent family, led by both a mother and a father, was the ideal place, determined even by nature itself, to raise a child.
The Obama administration argues this is not true. It argues that children need neither a father nor a mother and that having two fathers or two mothers is just as good as having one of each.
“The [California] Voter Guide arguably offered a distinct but related child-rearing justification for Proposition 8: 'the best situation for a child is to be raised by a married mother and father,’” said the administration’s brief submitted to the court by Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr.
“As an initial matter, no sound basis exists for concluding that same-sex couples who have committed to marriage are anything other than fully capable of responsible parenting and child-rearing,” the Department of Justice told the court. “To the contrary, many leading medical, psychological, and social-welfare organizations have issued policy statements opposing restrictions on gay and lesbian parenting based on their conclusion, supported by numerous scientific studies, that...

It took 70 years from the Bolshevik revolution to the fall of communism in Soviet Russia. During those 70 years, tens of millions perished and everybody lived in fear of the state and its totally arbitrary murder. Even today, the spirit of the people who lived under totalitarian rule is broken and difficult to restore.
You may be right that “it can’t last.” But 7 decades is a long time. We need to accelerate the end of this horrible evil.
They should be very careful what they wish for.
Their warped universe can’t continue forever. Even if they manage to enslave the world and remove all natural human goodness then there may still come a challenge that their hate and insanity can’t conquer. The world would be annihilated and that would be the end of it.

Moms are always where babies turn to for comfort. Sixty years ago there was a study in which baby monkeys were raised in drab sterile cages. One group had nothing in the cage other than a food dish & water. The other group the same, but also soft cuddly doll mom replacement. Results, the ones with the mom doll were more happy and normal. The others were scared nuts and bit themselves.
Those government nurseries will turn out damaged humans who will not be productive citizens.

Correct except the “hundreds” of generations” time line. Since before Austropithicines began the long walk from Olduvai Gorge to the present, some 125 thousand generation have passed.

After all, when the basic unit on the yardstick is 1,000,000 years creatures with a life span of less than 100 years can be forgiven their failure to comprehend that enormous span of time.
Primates ‘mother’ their young, humans also, and a wise bet is that long into the future, humans will still ‘mother’ their young.
If you think about it, Communism has been slowly growing in this country for the last 70 years. Thankfully we haven't suffered from its ills like the Russians did, but I agree with you. We've had more than enough of it, and need to banish it once and for all.
It's that, or go the way of the former USSR, which I don't think will happen here. There'll be a bloody war with a whole lotta dead Commies if it comes to that.

When the concept that the state defines the institution became normal for many, it was only a matter of time. To the state, marriage is just what judges, pols, or 51% of the voting public think it is at any one time. And that’s it.
Pope Leo XIII warned about the dangers of the state’s involvement 130 years ago, in the context of civil divorce and remarriage. If someone would have told him about the state recognizing ‘gay marriage’ 130 years later, his mitre would have shot off his head. Makes you wonder what the state will consider as being a marriage 130 years from now.

That's already happened. There's a show called Lockup that goes behind prison walls, they interview prisoners and guards, it shows what daily life is like, how the inmates got there, etc. Most of the inmates are damaged beyond repair and recividism is high because they just don't have the skills to survive in normal society.
