(Reuters) - California voters favor same-sex marriage by a nearly 2-to-1 margin, a poll showed on Thursday, a month before the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear arguments over a gay marriage ban approved by the state's residents in 2008.

What are you doing on this site? Tacit acceptance of the homosexual agenda or evil generally doesn't belong here. Things changed in a bad direction can be changed back eventually. You sound pleased that the issue is more or less decided for now. Oh, ok, I almost missed the libertarian self-description in your profile. But you want low taxes, right?

"before I leave this earth"

Where are you planning on heading afterward? Sounds like the same place as the "61%"?

The results of the Prop 8 approval should not be threatened simply because the people of today change their mind in the issue.

However, there is a huge gulf between the views of the young and old of the gay marriage issue and the problem is that old people are leaving us while younger voters enter the ranks of voters every day.

I am not all that confident that more 50% of the people that hold liberal views in social issue become more conservative on those issues between the ages of 45 and 60.

How can it be that 61% of the electorate believes that gay marriage is okay, yet a majority of the electorate voted for prop. 8

A bit of a long shot, since I know nothing of California voters. I do know Northern Michigan people though. There is the "Bradley Effect" and the "Bandwagon Effect" though I doubt whether it is the latter.

Simply put, it is well known that in some matters, the person polled will say what he/she thinks the pollster would approve of. I find that in matters of so-called race and homosexuality a number of people are scared of being thought intolerant. Their views privately often differ. Just a thought here.
